I heard the city had something around 300mm during the rain that lasted from the 1st of this month until the 13th. Tomorrow we could see 1/3 of that in a single day?

I believe the total for this month stands around 170mm.

300 could be for areas that got hit the hardest.

Well the city just came by with a High Bow river warning to plug off basement drains, so hopefully it will be alright. Watch out you other sunnysiders.
Just got that too

Yeah the two girls handing out the flood sheet stopped by my place in sunnyside.
One to hold an umbrella, one to hand me a piece of paper.
How do you get a job like that? Singing in the rain,...just singing in the rain.

My street was blocked off -two streets from fotze's. But because they have the construction for the traffic calming curbs in place nobody could get around the corner and it was backing up big time.
Appearently between 3rd and 4th street on Memorial is the lowest point in Calgary, one of the storm watchers was telling me.It is a big puddle,so bring your kids on down with your dinghy's.

I want you all to know I can see the river from my front windows ,first time ever.So if anybody wants to buy my joint, river views, the price just went up by $50,000.

Went over to the caribbeanfest on Princess Island but they must have called it off.You would think they would be used to monsoons.
Another two feet and the Bow will be flooding it and I will have a lake view too.
The west end bridge has overflowed into the lagoon and the beaver dam is under water.
Stay dry folks!

Airdrie had 80mm of rain in about 12 hours yesterday, and probably another 20 since.

Heritage Drive under the Glenmore overpass was completely flooded yesterday.

Anyone know what to do if you start seeing water head to your house. Do you shut the doors as tight as possible?
Move any and everything to the upper floor? :/

Now there's a parade of cars moving onto my street from memorial, I don't want to go out and see what the fatas is going on.

They've closed memorial and all the traffics being diverted down my street, maybe I'll go and take some pictures.
Is Memorial still closed?

I'm in the northwest and have two leaks, one is free flowing. Other than soaking it up with rags and mops every two hours or so, there's not much I can do until it dries up and I can someone for repairs.

Where are you getting your numbers from shoestring? Do they have any other rivers listed?

Head to Home Depot fotze. Get yer self some sand and some burlap sacks! I did hear them mention on QR that if your basement starts flooding to stay out of it if the water reaches the sockets...kinda obvious but in a panic I guess you might not consider it. If you need help bailing out the place let me know.
