Wow. My old buddy, long lost HOOT, has generously given the final $124 to our goal of $1500! I can't believe what I have witnessed on this site in the last few days. I never expected it.

Which brings me to this. I am still receiving email transfers from people. I'm not sure how much extra over the $1500 I will still be getting, but if people want to cancel those transfers, that makes sense. If people want me to donate the extra to the Humane Society or back to the site, I'm all for that too.

WOOHOOO We did it! Way to go CP! I am very proud to be a member of this community. Infact.. I feel honored to be a part of this community. I'm glad Buddy will recover soon ! As far as the extra cash I think the Humane Society would be an awesome choice

I have to wonder what the "real cost" was here? Mayer- how many times did you have to respond to secret questions admiting that the Flames were your favourite team?

A whole 3 days from the time Mayer finally agreed to take donations to the $1500 goal.

Not bad CP, not bad.

It's true. I had to answer positive security questions about the Flames more times than I care to admit It was a serious moral dilemma.

Hotmail?! I don't even use hotmail. I suspect I may have given you a wrong address.

Uh oh. Yeah I went by the hotmail address in your first pm. Can I just retract that transfer and send it to the proper address? It says the money has left my account. I'm confused.

I had nothing to do with it, it was all my dog Adda, I even warned her he was a Canucks fan but she thought Buddy was cute so what can you do.

Adda hopes Buddy is feeling better and gets to chase a tennis ball soon!

Keep us updated on the progress and as for the extra money keep it in cases you need it for on going drugs, treatments or whatever. If you don't use it all donate it to the Humane Society or some type of shelter. Best of luck!

Just another quick update. Buddy had his permanent cast put on this morning. He is doing well although he is apparently pretty bored just sitting around all day, which makes sense for a dog of his energy level.

Once again, I can't thank everyone enough for willing to help us and Buddy out. We will definitely be looking to pay it forward whenever we are able.

I don't have much of an update but I did want to point out two people that I didn't mention earlier that also donated to buddy's recovery. Dion and flameswin, thank you once again.

Buddy is doing pretty good. He's gaining more confidence in getting around which makes caring for him a little tougher, since he's supposed to be as immobile as possible. That said, he's happy!

Here he is being lazy....

Buddy was able to spend the weekend in town with us. It was nice to be able to have him again.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any places that board injured dogs for various lengths of time. My friend who is taking care of Buddy right now has a sabatical in April and will be leaving town, unable to take the dog with him. Right now we are trying to figure out our options as far as what to do with the dog. Moving for a month or two isn't the greatest option since our house will soon be built. The only other option is to find someone else who can have him or else board him at some kind of kennel

I figured someone at CP must have some good knowledge about these kinds of places.

Thanks

Oh...and here's buddy....giving his crazy eyes.
