Level 2 Hot House Member - 2 tickets side by side.

Last year I was at 350+, and this year only made it down to 190, so definitely another 2 years minimum paying $200 and getting 2 crappy regular season press section games, and 1 crappy pre-season press section game. Both will be given to co-workers.

Also got the "While you wait" offer. Row 10 in the press section. Meh, no thanks. I considered doing it and then trying to get seat re-location next year, but to be honest it is just not worth it considering it would cost me $2000 for a bunch of seats I don't want, and especially considering how many STH sell off their regular season tickets at STH prices for good seats.

So two more years.

I was roughly number 45 last year on 3rd level, and now I am about 25. I'm assuming most of my moving up the line is due to people not renewing their hot house...

For 200 level seats, I started at ~ 700 and moved up ~ 225 spots in each of the last two years. Sitting around 250 right so just on the wrong side of the cut line. Looking like 2 more seasons before becoming STH. The would mean I would have been on the waitlist for 4 years prior to becoming a STH. Maybe add in another year or two if I chooses to wait for Greens or Oranges to come up...

78 on the second level for 4 seats. Been on the list for 3-4 years now? I can't remember but I'm hoping for seats next year...

I must say that paying $100 a seat just for the Beat the Box Office function is more or less worth it.

Does everyone get a unique code for their own, or everyone get the same?

I had the option for green for the jets game but went with the press level because of the price. But right at 10:00am I could have had level 2 for the Jets.

I went right in at 10 and checked for tix for Jets, Penguins, and the Saturday night Canucks...they were all available. Just got a pair for the Canucks...would have done all 3, but they were charging a premium price for these games...$75 a pop in the Greens.

I passed on the packs....I built one for 5 games, 2 tix per, and amounted to over 1g.....Those jets and nucks games were hefty!

On the topic of the thread tho, I'm 570 will be holding out for 2nd level whites for a pair......

Bummer they only give 4 hitman tix, I thought it was 4 per seat, but its 4 per membership....Ah well

Also passed on the while you wait, PL seating doesn't interest me much for the price

The only drawback is that I have to compete via draft with the other people I buy split season tickets off of to get the premium games and/or playoff games and I have to pay inbetween door pricing and STH pricing for the game pack.

There are far too many people just scraping by to hold onto their season's tickets that it seems like no trouble to get to a good number of games in the location of one's desire. Just look at buy/sell, it's littered with people looking to offset the cost of their ST by selling off portions of their tickets. There's also a crap load of people selling their press level 'while you wait seats.' I think unless the Flames make the playoffs, it won't be long before people like us get our tickets.

I believe I've chimed in on this topic before but the whole STH system is set up to screw people like you. Maybe not set up intentionally to screw you but it does.

I can be put on a payment plan with the Flames for minimal cost. Then I can turn around and sell 30 of my 45 games (which I did) and basically have tickets to some of the choicest games available. And people like you end up keeping me in business because you can't get season tickets of your own. It creates a vicious cycle. You can buy games from STH's, which is 10x better than ticketmaster, and you end up keeping yourself from getting tickets because those STH's can afford them because they sell to guys like you.

To my credit I don't sell only crappy games, I always keep a good mix for myself, and I always give price breaks to people who make large purchases.

I'd love to be able to attend more games but I just can't. In the past it was a money issue because I was a student. Now it is a time issue. Who wants to go to a game until 930/10am, get home at 1030 or 11pm and then wake up the next morning at 6am? I'm used to going to bed at like 930pm. But I digress...

I go to every game then drive 2.5 hours home afterwards.

That's why I make a point of never buying seats above STH price in Buy/Sell and I have a Flames game-pack from the team itself. I don't want to subsidize anyone who's a STH and potentially might give up their seats.

What screwed me in the past is that demand was so high for tickets that the 30-40% mark up in door price vs. STH cost ensured that STH could sell 2/3rds of their season tickets for face value and go to the premium games for free or even a small profit. No one gave up their seats in that environment.

The past 2-3 years have been different in that there are more tickets than buyers on the secondary market for non-premium games (Which is like 30 or so games). Check Buy/Sell in advance of most week night games and chances are you can buy at the STH price or even less.
It's fun to laugh when I see people trying to sell their 'While you Wait' Press Level seating for Face Value or even for cost for weekday games. Last year those seats were often empty during games.

I think that now that STH actually have to eat tickets or the cost of tickets for games they don't go to will push a lot of marginal STH out and free up seats for me in the next year or two. I'm willing to buy white seats, so I figure I will get tickets sooner than even people ahead of me in line since so many are turning down whites for greens or oranges.
