The 'Gordie Howe' is a cracking name for a pizza!

What's on it?

Vern's "pepperoni" tastes like bologna and their "sauce" tastes like ketchup. If I wanted a bologna and ketchup sandwich, I'd make one myself and wouldn't pay $20+ dollars for it.

True Chicago pizza (ie Giordano's) is my favourite. I love the buttery crust. Definitely quite similar to a really good pie crust.

Everyone has to try Coco Brooks. The frozen ones are good but you have to go get a freshly baked one to really experience it.

All personal sized pizzas about 6.50, and their really filling!

They have Pizza, pasta, calzones, salads, ciabbata's, desserts etc..

3 locations:
NE 32nd ave
SE Blackfoot trail
Foothills out by the soccer dome

Give it a try, you wont be dissappointed. I really enjoy them, they have lots of selections so you can never get tired of the same old thing (plain cheese/pepp) etc.

I always keep a couple of chicken hot wing pizzas around for snacking after a few beers on a weekend. Best 3 AM snack ever.

Not sure how they get their top 10 then??
97% of the customers who voted liked Verona
74% for Ristorante Pulcinella
Urban Spoon isn't an exact science but it usually adds up in a similar way that hotel reviews from Traveladvisor keep you from staying in a dump. This thread and phone app's can go a long way to increase industry customer service levels and keep us going to places that know how to make a good Pizza

Most of Chicago deep dish (especially Giordano's) is not pizza - it's tomato soup in a bread bowl with a sprinkle of cheese.

Coco Brooks tastes good but it is so greasy that it makes my ass do an impression of a rocket launcher.

Are you kidding me? Seriously? You think that place is good?

Coco Brooks is alright. They are only in business because they sell small pizzas, perfect for an office order. They are a step above frozen pizzas, and that includes their fresh baked versions.

I think it was an Hawaiian with Canadian bacon and honey drizzled on it. Super thin crust IIRC.

Made this Deep Dish Pizza over the weekend. 1.2 inches thick. I ate one piece filled my belly!

Homemade crust from true sour dough bread made with butter!
Homemade sauce from the cooking thread.
First layer is a very thin layer of sauce.
Second layer is loads of mozza
Third layer is red peppers and onions.
On top of that is Spanish Chirizo from PC.
Sauce
PC Hot Genoa Salami covering the pizza
Sauce
Mozza covering the top.

Best pizza I EVER made!

Had a pizza there Friday. Needed to drink a gallon of water after that. Must be full of salt.

Real men cook pizza on their BBQ.

This is a strange, yet awesome recipe. Hoisin Sauce Chicken Pizza. Made it last night, eating the leftovers now. It's good.
