Well I guess we will know in the next few days if Treliving already has Plan B in place.

Man, last year was great, but it feels like everything about being a flames fan has absolutely sucked since the all star break.

Yeah, would have really liked a Kadri for Brodie swap. Too bad it fell through.

The one positive I take from this news is that this shows Brodie still has pretty significant value around the league. I really didn't want Kadri, but now we can maybe hope to get a player LIKE Kadri for Brodie, instead of a 2nd or 3rd round pick like some fans or guys on the FAN960 are speculating.

Hopefully we can swing him for a RW.

I’d like Ferland to return.

We’re going to war with Colorado.

If Calgary was on his no trade list and Colorado wasn't, Kadri 100 percent wanted to be an Avalanche moreso than a Flame.

I think it probably came down to American city vs Canadian city

The guy had 3 concussions last year. How tough do you honestly thing he can be? The Ferland Mythos around here is frighteningly misguided.

Why? Roster looks just as good or better going into next season as the Flames have lost nobody of significance and the two young defenseman should be better another year into the NHL. Lots of good teams aren't making much in the way of big moves. Can't expect Treliving to make big moves every offseason as it's not easy to make big deals as we are seeing with NTC's and salaries.

Tough enough to hit and forecheck aggressively.

My take of “war” in hockey does not include fighting.

Tough guy or not his 40 points would be useful, now that he's shown it wasn't just a product of Gaudreau and Monahan

Lmao. Okie doke. So you think he got those concussions from fighting? Maybe one but one was for sure from a hit. The guys simply is not the Ferland your thinking of from the Vancouver series.

If I did the throat-slash gesture and told the captain of the Calgary Flames that he was "dead", I'd probably nix the trade too.

With the amount of concussions he's had, he's a shadow of the Vancouver series player.

I would hope Giordano has thicker skin than that.

For sure. If Giordano barely cared at the time I doubt he does 3 years later

I'm talking about Kadri. I doubt Gio cares at all.
