I had the same reaction. He is neither associated with Jeopardy, nor is he a host in any other venue. Just a bizarre decision.

Why not me? Seriously? I'll send you my CV right now Jeopardy producers. I can't be any worse than Rodger and his monotone and delayed delivery.

I dislike them both equally.

Aaron Rodgers is cool, charming and enthusiastic.

I imagine he’ll do quite well.

I thought he did alright. A little stiff, and monotone.

I'd put him on par with Couric, but that's likely due to him exceeding my expectations.

I did watch the contestant interviews (which I normally skip) to see how he was talking to contestants. Again a little stiff, but he did try and chat off script which I liked.
I wouldn't be surprised if he comes into his own by the end of the two week run.

Is Aaron Rodgers the permanent replacement host? Or is it just a temporary thing?

He isn't associated? He's a Celebrity Jeopardy champion. Loves the game and would also love to be the permanent host.

Okay, didn't realize he was celebrity champ. I thought that was Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

He was pretty good. A little wooden but overall did fine. The final jeopardy moment was funny.
I still want to see Probst get a crack.

Name Norm MacDonald host and the show will inexplicably be cancelled within a month.

But not before we’ve gotten the best goddamn month of Jeopardy! ever.

Didn't Rogers absolutely kill it when he was on Celebrity Jeopardy? I know he was a huge fan of the show and talks about it quite a bit when he guests on the Pat McAfee show. I wish I would have seen this.

Trying to replace Trebek is a pretty hard task because people were so used to Trebek being the host.

Good article that shows how seriously he took the opportunity.

My vote goes to Ryan Reynolds so long as he is contractually obligated to rock the 90s Trebek mustache.

I agree, which is why I think their strategy of having a ton of guest hosts is a great idea.

Almost cleanses the pallet. People will compare hosts to each other rather than Alex.
