- made numbers and "C" white for improved readability.
- Added silver outline around numbers and logos.
- made charcoal cloth of jersey and socks a bit lighter (to avoid one big black blob).

Wow, love that. I'd be all for returning to the retros for both home and away with that as a third jersey. Does any team use grey in the NHL for a jersey? I can't think of one.

The Kings, Hurricanes, Sabres, and Jets use gray on their main jerseys. The Islanders have it one their 3rds. Colorado, Vancouver, and Columbus use it in their logos only.

I've said it before, but jerseys need to be colorful. Gives the crowd something to wear, and red just looks beautiful in high definition.

Red definitely looks great in HD, but that being said red is also the worst colour on standard definition televisions (which is said to be around 42% of televisions in Canada).
The idea of having another jersey colour option isn't to replace the main jerseys but to add some variety.

I thought about getting rid of the flags but I saw a marine walking around and the flag on his jersey matched the camo on his fatigues. So I made the Alberta and Canadian flags into silver and graphite. I think the would blend in from far away but be nice little details up close.

Sorry, to clarify I meant as the main color of the jersey.
Tomo, you should forward that design to Ken King. It would be a unique idea that I'd like the team to wear every now and again.

Just ask Dr. Pepper to change the thread title to include ken's name, he'll likely read it on his own then.

I cannot take credit as I just surfed the net for some examples to get the thread started... I have no idea who did it. Anyone here?

If I had any artistic ability, I'd do a mock up myself. I'd like to see the yellow eliminated. It's far too prominant and it makes the jersey look tacky. I'd like to see a very vibrant red jersey, with 2 thin white pipes on the forearms, and 2 thin white pipes across the bottom (possibly with some black below that). The extreme amount of pipes with every colour right now (black, white, red, yellow), make the jersey look a tad cheap.
Edit: Hate to compare it to a Leafs jersey, but this from a couple years ago looked really sharp and was along the lines of what I was thinking (sans the Leafs logo the tie up sweater).

That's awesome, as was V1.0. Obviosuly the flags would go on the alternate and I am guessing for good (although I never minded them).
The "graphite" color would be really unique, somewhat like the Blue Jays in their last uniform originally had a graphite slate colored hat (they used for a year before the black away hat took over, surprise). Throw in the dashes of color with the stripes, outling in silver, the redo of the font as you have, and it would be a sharp set.
Pure or modified retro, remove all black from the home and the away set and put it into this design.
That would be a slick overall uniform set.

Basically that, with a darker red, slimmer pipes on the sleeve, possibly black shoulders and black below the bottom stripes on the bottom (and possibly the sleeves).
