Rough day. Projected cut of +4 turned into +6 with 60 golfers making it to Saturday. I know some tournaments cut again after Saturday if there are that many extras. Not sure if Masters does.

Slow play is killing the game.

Masters never had a Saturday cut, and the PGA tour got rid of it when they moved from top 70 to top 65.
It was pretty wild. +6 had a 2% chance of getting in when the first players were coming in. Hopefully they all stayed in town!

Tiger looks really tired, starting to blow up. Problem is you need to be 100% at Augusta or you'll free fall.

Oh wow, he's losing it now. Just letting go of the club and wincing after every shot.

As Tiger's game falls apart, he always appears to wince more and more.

I have a feeling the later stating players are going to shoot lower. This course is eating up guys who aren't playing well, but I don't see Scottie dropping many shots. Already birdied the first hole.

+4 in the last three holes, let out an audible groan during his last drive. Seemed like he couldn't even swing fully through, which tracks with his last two drives being majorly pulled.
I'd suggest we'll see a withdraw if not sometime during this round then after it.

As much as we all want to see Tiger, I find the moaning a little forced everytime his game falls apart.
Feels a bit like saving face from just saying he played poor & can blame injuries.
All week it's I feel great, I'm healthy and ready to compete. Couple bogies; oh wait, I am injured!

Why Tiger feels the need to keep grinding his body into the ground, even though he has nothing at all to prove, I just don't understand. It's golf so he can always catch lightning in a bottle any week, but his body has been thoroughly destroyed now, the odds he syncs up a great week of play with a great week of health is extremely low.

I can't comment on other recent rounds as I missed them, but today I would certainly disagree with you. It seems pretty clearly lined up with not being able to fully swing through, which would be a physical ailment.
His body just can't do this anymore, it's not him whining that he's not playing well.

The guy is an alpha male competitor. We have seen this from most of the greatest athletes of the last few generations.

It because it’s the Masters. We see Freddie Couples do it every year along with most of the past champions. It’s not like Tiger is out there every weekend grinding to make the cut. Sure he is likely playing through pain and in discomfort but to just give up is not in Tigers blood nor any of the other competitors, it’s how they’ve become professional golfers.

One difference is that I have no doubt Tiger is playing to win. Freddie, Vijay and those guys aren't.

Well I'm hoping for some way better golf in the final round. So many players going backwards is not entertaining.
