I thought the offense would be better and the D looked passable on paper. I didn't expect Love to look like Mitch Trubisky out there.

If Love was even close to starting caliber do you really think they would have put up with Rodgers #### the last few years? They knew he stinks. Good news for them is his contract is easy enough to dump. Keep LaFleur since he's not good and get in on the Tankction, Packers definitely have a 4-13 season in them, especially if the smartly trade some of their good players for futures.

As it turns out, there was a force field...or he sucks. This is embarrassing.

From what I saw of this game Jordan Love was not very good.
Feels like the league has an upper tier of maybe 10 teams, a couple Charger like ones. And 20 bad ones who play each other enough that some end up with middling records

What happened to the modern high scoring parity NFL?
Only two games again this week that had both teams over 20 points and the game decided by 8. One of these was the Bills Jags which was a stretch to call a "great game".

When you have 20 plus bad teams and terrible QB play you probably aren’t going to get a lot of high scoring or good games.

It's much like last year where teams have been sluggish to start the season. A few teams tanking a bit because of some decent QB prospects. Out of 78 games so far, I have 32 overs and one push based on what the lines were when I made my own pick.
Does feel like some of the more hype type games will be later in the season. Even this coming week's slate looks pretty bleak. At most there's 4 games where that criteria could be met.

It feels to me like more teams are tanking seasons than years past where it was usually just one or two teams. I also think teams aren't doing a good job developing QB's a lot of these 1st year QB's should be holding a clipboard for most of their first season. I don't think what's going on with Bryce Young right now is great for his development with the lack of surrounding talent. Would be better to have a vet in there taking the hits while he gets in periodically in 4th quarter or starting later games in the season. Love just isn't good but he was way overdrafted and overrated.

Jefferson going to the short-term IR, so he's out for four weeks minimum. You wonder now if they start looking to move Cousins with the season looking like a writeoff. Vikings should be all-in on the tank, if they pair Caleb with Jefferson that could be lethal.

That's because a lot of them aren't tanking, they just stink. Of the 7 teams who are 1-4 or worse, the only one that came in to actually tank are the Cardinals and they've looked the best of that group. Then you look at the 2-3 teams and other than the Bengals, it's a bunch of "sure, that was predictable", and even if you just say "Joe Burrow got hurt" the Bengals make sense too.
The thing that's different this year, it seems to me, is that there are fewer good teams out there. Sure, there's the 49ers, Eagles, Dolphins, Chiefs, Bills, Cowboys and arguably the Lions although the jury is still out. Then you get the Seahawks, Bucs, Ravens, Steelers and Saints. Are those teams actually good, or are they just... respectable?
And even a couple of the good teams are just in that list because you know deep down they have the talent; the Bills and Cowboys have been very inconsistent and the Eagles and Chiefs have looked kind of lifeless. Other than SF, there has been nobody who you'd say, "OK, that right there is how you're supposed to football".

With all the increased emphasis on player safety, to the point starters barely play at all in exhibition and training camp is heavily non-contact, I think sluggish starts around the league will be the norm going forward. It's almost like September has become one big exhibition month in terms of players shaking off the rust and offences rounding into form, except the games actually matter.

Despite his playcalling Rodgers has 48 and 37 TD seasons under him.
He can get the run game going but the passing creativity is lacking.
Feels like they thought he was an amazing coach who could coach up mediocre players but that just isn't the case.

Quite a few of the talking heads thought theyd be duking it out with Detroit for the division on the back of Love.

As there were people saying the Bears would be a factor if Fields took a leap forward. Nobody of sound mind really thought either was a factor to win the division unless the Lions and Vikings collapsed and Fields/Love took a step forward.

Not sure why people thought the Vikings are legit. 13-4 negative point differential and got beat by another terrible playoff team in the Giants.

Nobody thought they were legit lol. Everyone knew they were a 7 win team who fluked into 6 more wins. By advanced stats they were the greatest fourth quarter team EVER last year. This year the reversion has been brutal (and hilarious). Like the Raiders last year, the Vikings this year was free money on the under win total.

Jefferson, Achane and Conner all hurt this week.
This season has been brutal for injuries.
