I had genuine respect for Richard Simmons - he had enthusiasm for what he did and really cared for helping people. Rest easy Richard. You earned it.

Yeah, Simmons seemed like a great human being. He knew he was made fun of and just went with it. Anyone who does that is a good person in my books.

Some people live their life as a force for good for other people. Richard Simmons was one of those guys.

Really sad, she fought her cancer so hard, and it won in the end.
RIP

Sad. She really brought awareness to her condition.
I hope Dylan and Brenda are reunited.

It sounds like her husband was a bit of a dick through this too. She had been trying to divorce him for a long time but he delayed rather than accepting the divorce settlement thinking he could just out live her, which he did. He couldn't let her be happy as she was nearing death.

I prefer to think about it as Norm did.

Just 3 weeks ago she did an interview and said the paperwork was never final. The proceedings began in 2023 though.

Doherty wrote she has tried to resolve the matter with Iswarienko through their attorneys "to no avail."
"This is largely due to Kurt’s utter failure to voluntarily produce any information regarding his income or his work, despite his repeated promises to do so," she wrote. "His overt efforts to delay our divorce — by promising to willingly provide information and then failing to do so until served with formal discovery — have caused me tremendous stress and aggravation during an already difficult time. I would like the peace of mind to focus on my health, and no longer wish to engage in Kurt’s sadistic push and pull game."
Doherty added: "It is simply not right that Kurt be permitted to prolong our divorce in hopes that I die before he is required to pay me while he continues to live his life and shirk his responsibilities to his dying wife of more than 11 years."

Dang, just found out James B. Sikking died on Saturday too. Probably best remember as Lt. Howard Hunter on Hill Street Blues and as Doogie's dad on Doogie Howser, M.D.. (The Trekkie in me also strongly associates him with the small role he played in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, as the captain of the U.S.S. Excelsior.)
