I was wondering about that Springer homer and where it ranked in Jays lore.

Tied for 3rd longest is quite a feat in your what....3rd game?

Hit that thing a mile.

trailed the whole game, but fought back and are now above .500

that's the kind of win that can set you on a heater

You know, I think Grichuk has really turned a corner this year. He seems like a much more complete and balanced player. He's really battling to stay in the lineup every night.

Honest question time: I know that Gurriel is viewed as the better player, but Grichuk is a better defender and seems to have sorted out his crazy high strike out rate. Do you keep Grichuk or Gurriel long-term? They're only a couple years apart in age.

<why not both? gif>

they need 4 fielders - Springer, Hernandez, Gurriel and Grichuk

Springer
Bichette
Guerrero
Hernandez
Grichuk
Semien
Gurriel
Tellez / Biggio
catcher

that lineup is as good as any in baseball, they just need another starter

I know, but at some point you have to commit to 3 of them. Which is the odd-man out? I'm closer to thinking it's Gurriel at this point, but there's a whole season to change my mind.

Why?

Just rotate them consistently. If one is due his day off and is on a heater, just DH him that day.

Inevitably their will injuries and whatnot so there is no issue being able to have 4 OFs going.

IF, and its a big one, the SP can get even adequate, they clean it up a bit on defense, then this club can do some damage.

Woohoo!

Above .500 finally!

Glad for the win, but we need more pitchers to get healthy so we the Jays can #### can Milone.

Seriously. Get rid of this guy already, he's terrible. There has to be a better option somewhere in the system.

Awesome. So instead of getting to see an unreal young bat in the line up most days, we get to go immediately back to black hole Jansen.

We'll get a look at Adams now I guess. Silver linings...

Also, Stripling in for Milone is a good thing. Milone can stay on the IL for all I care.

Castro also to the 10 day IL with a forearm strain.

For real.

Kay recalled.

As expected Adam's has been recalled to take Kirk's spot.

Over his career, one handed pitcher Jim Abbott’s batting average is more than double that of Danny Jansen’s this season.
