Do you know how much bandwidth is used up, say, watching a hockey game? or stream fan 960?

Just trying to figure out if this is worth it.

Im pretty clueless with the whole, 3g, phone, internets stuff.

I stream pretty regularly on my phone and in 9 months, I have used up a total of 4.4 gbs. I have no idea how you would even begin to approach the 6gb a month.

Streaming audio is nothing. Streaming video, esp. high quality video, can really add up.

Let's say you watch a 500kb/s stream. 500 / 8 * 60 * 180 (3 hours) / 1024 = 659 megaBYTES of data.

Obviously we weren't mentioned in the keynote.. that's fine. But I then realized that the Design awards are given out on Tuesday night.. I pinged my boss and he said: "no comment"

So let us know what happens eh?

Maybe a new thread introducing the product to CP would be appropriate?

I think it is really cool that I "know" someone that is involved with something like this. Maybe that says more about me though!!

good luck.

Oh sweet! I checked the Rogers website and went to "upgrade my phone" and it said I wouldn't be eligible to upgrade until July 17, 2009. Can I get excited yet?

I just installed 3.0!

Of every new feature, the best one by far is the ability to turn OFF multiple message alerts. Thank god.

Landscape mode is pretty cool too...But that's nothing new.

Sweet!

Nice work. Your app really takes advantage of the platform and leverages all the parts of the iPhone really well. Our web app was an Apple Editors pick back in the 1.0 days and we were excited. I can imagine how you feel is that plus a million.

P.S. Do you do any freelance development?

This is cool. Apple has a wall of Cinema Displays at WWDC showing 20,000 iPhone apps and everytime someone downloads one, the icon pulses.

I don't right now, but given a good design I can implement stuff pretty quickly.

For what it's worth, when you try to set up internet tethering on 3.0 right now it says to contact Rogers.

Can you explain this one to me? I'm trying to remember what this feature is but I just can't.
