While I agree it looks eerily similar to last year, offense is down league wide, even April over April. It's possible that MLB messed with the ball again. Or it's colder or damper than last year. The new ball (after the 2021 and Aaron Judge 2022 super happy fun balls) reacts more extremely to weather. I remember last year homeruns started flying by mid May for most teams.
Now that I think if it, I am interested to see how long Bet MGM offers their $10,000.00 pool each weekend where if you bet $10 on a player to hit a home run and it ends up being a grand slam, you end up splitting the $10,000.00 (in free bets) with all who won their bet. It probably disappears come May.
