Fernwood 2Night was great back in its day. I'm not sure if it holds up.

RIP to Shelley Duvall, most well known for playing Wendy in the Shining, but she was in so many films this one stings. Here she was just 4 days ago celebrating her birthday.

She was in tons of great films in the 70s. I recently watched 3 Women and highly recommend it.

Her performance in The Shining was probably the best and most realistic one in it.

I agree, but if you read her thoughts on how that performance was delivered, that one nearly broke her.

Apparently that role and its process was pure torture.

She should have picked up the Oscar for that. And meanwhile the performance Nicholson delivered was so bad, like over-the-top ham. He’s done better work, but The Shining isn’t my favourite of his.

She actually picked up a razzie nomination for The Shining

That's actually an urban legend, that's been said so many times people believe it. She loved Kubrick and went on to have a successful career after The Shining. She looks broken in the movie because she was a really really good actress.

Richard was a good man who cared about people. He also had a great sense of humour even when he was the butt of the joke. He had many struggles in life and I hope he was able to find peace before he died.
