His post indicated that Nystrom was in college for 3 years and slowly developed over the next five.

The comparison (I think, because I made the same one) is that both are replaceable bottom 6 players. Draft pedigree isn't a reason to keep them around.

Yeah some of these returns people are expecting are really significantly bent in the flames favor. I’d absolutely love to be wrong though.

It’s probably going to be another reclamation project and a pick (if a team really values Bennett)

I like Sam Bennett the human, he seems like a decent guy and all about the team.

However, he gives me way to many "oh, come on man, use your head!" moments to love him as a player.

I'm ok with him getting a fresh start somewhere else.

I heard Boomer say DeAngelo was not under consideration per a text convo he had with Tre, so that's not an option.. one would think.

So, I'm very curious to hear what's coming back. I don't expect top 6, but I expect a strong top 9. Sam's still young and has lots of upside, I expect a decent return.

I try to think from another teams fan base perception, and we would probably be very excited at the possibility of acquiring Sam Bennett, having seen what he’s like in the playoffs on that sort of stage that has more eyes.

I know GM’s don’t think like fans, but I’m sure his perceived value is lower here than any of the other 30 teams.

I’m expecting a half decent return, in part due to how many teams should have interest and drive the price a bit.

I think if Sam Bennett had even one goal this year or if he had actually eclipsed 15 points last year it would have been done already.

I think most fans of other teams want to take a flyer on him cause he should come cheap.
