Refereeing was total horse in that game. The offensive pass interference on Gronk especially. Lafell gets waterskiied behind in the OT. Ugh. Even with all that garbage, Brady marches them downfield and Gostkowski is money to get them to extra time.
That said, this is all on Harper. If he doesn't muff that punt, this game is over.

Word is the Gronkowski injury isn't serious. Great news for the Patriots.

Hopefully true, losing Gronk is worse for the Pats than losing the game

The penalties against Chung and Gronk were bad.
And no penalty called here on the TD throw immediately after the Chung call
Whatever. The fumble by Harper on the punt return was the difference. He makes that catch and the Pats, at minimum, stay up 21-7 for quite a bit longer longer and the Broncos have to go 80yds instead of 25 to make it 21-14.

The loss is overdue for NE. They survived the Giants with a 57 field goal and the Bills with their poor time management. It's probably right for them to lose this one.
They aren't going to go 16-0 anyway so this loss doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Osweiler performed very well and could be the starting QB for the Broncos after Manning.

My phone just told me that Gronk is unlikely to miss more than one game, so that's good news.

I never read too much into games played in the snow. That tends to add randomness to the game.
I missed the last part after NE went up 21-7.
NE should still be the top seed in the AFC, when some injured players start returning.
Denver might have something in the Montanan.

It took:
No Edelman
No Amendola
No Lewis
No Collins
Injured Gronk and Hightower
Phantom calls from the Referees
And OT to beat the Patriots.

Ooh I love this game. It took:
No Manning
No Ware
No Clady or Sambrailo
Injured Williams, Ward, and Vazquez
Just to get to OT and lose to the Broncos
Everyone deals with injuries and plays with the same refs. Huge win for Brock in his second start. I hope Manning doesn't play another down but I worry this coaching staff will put him right back in whenever he's healthy.
Pats should be fine, really surprised that Belichek didn't put more pressure on Brock and disrupt the Denver offence. He still holds the ball way too long.

Patriots Twitter is just the absolute best. It's going to really suck when Brady retires and the Patriots suck again and Boston fans go back to not caring about football.

We'll still be cheering. It will suck worse when Belichick retires.

I see Rex Ryan is trying to blame Arrowhead Stadium for him not knowing what plays to challenge and which ones he shouldn't.

I mean you don't have someone watching the network feed, or the coaches feed that both teams have access to?
Too much time pandering for the camera, and not enough studying how to win games. No wonder Bellichik coaches circles around him every year.

Ha! Most of you will switch allegiances 2-3 times before Bill and Tom are done.

Doesn't that book support Girly's argument that fans in Boston are bandwagon fans, and that unless they are winning the Patriots don't draw that well.
And if Brady/Belichek are smart they probably only have about 1 seasons left after this one if they want to go out on top. Brady will be 40 by the start of the 2017 season, and Belichek will be 65. If I am those guys I probably only stick around for next season and then retire.
Nothing really left to prove for them and they could retire on top. Especially for Belichek, why coach another QB and go through that again, when it will likely just tarnish your legacy.

I've been "on the bandwagon" since the early 80's. 12 year old me liked the logo with old Pat Patriot.

The point is that teams have bad attendance when they are not winning. What a great discovery!

Me too! My brother hated the 85 bears so cheered for the Patriots and 6 year old me liked the logo.
Troutman: its better now. No twitter in the 70s

Okay, just didn't really see how that countered Girly's point.
Really it's not that shocking since Boston is a Baseball city first, a Basketball city second, and football is 3rd on that list.
Unless the Patriots are a good team they likely don't draw since they aren't the top attraction in Boston.
The other thing that is not surprising is that a team as good as the Patriots have been (Modern Dynasty really), are going to have some bandwagon fans. Everyone jumps on the back of a winner and the Patriots are the latest beneficiaries there, just a fact of sports fandom.

Excatly. We started somewhere. The second we became a fan of a team someone before us accused of us of jumping on the bandwagon.
