I think they should have kept Billett as the starter this year. Demko got hot and was playing at an unsustainable level, I felt like sooner or later he'd come crashing back to earth. Bad game to have that happen.

Johnny Gaudreau scores on the PP.
He doesn't mess around. Good for him to stop the bleeding.
edit: initial scoring says Brown from Gaudreau and Arnold.
double edit: with the assist, Gaudreau can tie Paul Kariya's NCAA point streak record tomorrow. (Gaudreau has 30 games, Kariya had 31)

Crucial goal by BC. Means nothing tonight, but at least BC was the last team to score, that could carry over tomorrow.

Yale takes a big loss tonight as well, 6-2.
Not a pretty sights for those 2 teams, but on the bright side Providence is still leading 3-1 with 5:00 to go.
Jankowski 1+1, Gilmour 0+1, Gillies 28/29

BC will need a big bounce back to recover from that shellacking, 7-2 loss in game one of the series.

Friars hang on for the 3-1 win. Jankowski had 6 shots in the game, leading both teams. No one else on Providence had more than 3.
Matt DeBlouw also had an assist in MSU's 5-4 OT win over Wisconsin.
Agostino's season could come to an end with a Yale loss tomorrow night.
Even if they lose tomorrow, BC will still get an invite to the NCAA tournament, so their season won't end.

Agostino COULD conceivably join the Flames (or Heat) next week.

If BC Loses their next 1 or 2 games against ND, can gaudreau/arnold sign with Calgary in the next day or two?

BC will be in the Frozen Four at the end of March. They'd sign, earliest, beginning of April.

When it comes to the positive trending in Kulak’s game, there would be a connection there with the fact that the Flames made a contract offer Wednesday morning. They picked him in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.
|
Sounds like Burke offered Kulak a contract on Wednesday.

Very interesting. Solid find thymebalm.
I enjoyed watching him last season. With playing time and some teaching, Kulak could take a similar curve as Wotherspoon (in terms of starting out slow, but steadily becoming more and more effective as the season rolls on).

Boston College is playing the second game of their best-of-3 quarterfinal early today. Not even a minute into the game, Notre Dame has already scored.
