That kinda sucked, Mayza was pitching Tucker well, Tucker gets injured, Mayza stands around waiting, gets one warm up pitch then gives up a hit and run.

So the slider is Julks' achilles heel.

Phew. A little closer than the game actually was. Romano's slider was filthy tonight.

I expect Chappy to cool off but it'd be pretty funny if another 3B the Jays got from the As won the AL MVP.

Great start from Bassit. Kinda funny how for the 2nd year in a row the opening day starter now looks like a huge weak link in the rotation.

Ryu was opening day starter in 2020 and 2021, and in both those seasons was excellent for the Jays.

Jesus, I didn't realize how brutal the Jays schedule was going to be to start off. I mean I guess you don't get a break when your whole division is over .500 but they're mixing in series with the Braves, Pirates, Brewers, Twins, Astros again and Twins again all before mid June. Brutal.

In 2020 he was. But in 2021 he faded and struggled in the second half. Going into last year the hope was he could be a serviceable 4 or 5 starter.

Yeah I noticed this too. Just means an easier schedule later on hopefully.

Tough schedule indeed but if they come out ahead in those series and make a statement it could be a great season.
