The fact that they cast Shia Labeouf to play McEnroe in that is hilarious. It's so on the nose.

Anyway... "McEnroe is the bigger talent"? Um, okay.

Yikes, watching that trailer doesn't inspire me to be first in line at the theatre to see that film.

Canadians Francoise Abanda, Peter Polansky, and Brayden Schnur have been awarded wild cards into the main draw of the Rogers Cup.

Abanda is the second-highest ranked Canadian on the WTA at 131. She’ll join Eugenie Bouchard (currently ranked No. 73) in Toronto.

The 20-year-old Abanda will be playing in her fourth consecutive Rogers Cup.

Polansky and Schnur will join Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospisil, and Denis Shapovalov in Montreal for the men’s event.

Hey, Genie was on the right side of a bagel for a change - She just defeated Christina McHale 7-6(8), 6-0 at the Citi Open in DC. Keep it going Genie!

Shia with that crazy hair makes it look like a feature length remake of 7 Days In Hell. which btw I highly recommend for tennis fans if you didn't catch it a couple years back.

This kind of makes me want to go... might be his last visit. I'm surprised he's there this year, really.

Milos moves on at the Citi Open as he dispatches Nicholas Mahut in two tie-breakers 7-6(2) and 7-6(8)

A left forearm injury has forced Maria Sharapova to withdraw from the Rogers Cup in Toronto and Bianca Andreescu is into the main draw in Maria's place.

Looked good in set 1 but did not look good in set 2. Will be interesting to see how today's match goes as he will not get away with some of the serving tactics he was using against Mahut.

Ha! I still can't believe the Rogers cup is hyping her up as the "headliner" of the Canadian contingent at this years event. Just about every other Canadian woman that qualifies would be more thrilling to watch than her at this point.

Bianca Andreescu might be the top Canadian female tennis player these days as she just moved into round 3 of the Citi Open after defeating #2 seed Kristina Mladenovic of France (who is currently ranked #13 in the WTA rankings). Bianca won in straight sets 6-2 6-3

/Also, Milos took out Marcos Baghdatis in straight sets as well 7-6(7), 6-3

It's too bad that Genie lost her match today because we would have seen an all-Canadian quarterfinal between Bouchard and Andreescu in DC. Bianca instead takes on Petrovic on Friday.

I'm convinced given how they are marketing things now with Maria in these ads that they're going to fix the draw so we get a Genie-Maria matchup. As for Bianca not a bad first two tour wins. Would be some story for tennis as a whole if she pulled this off and won DC. Still it's so nice as Canadian tennis fans that with Genie obviously in decline and Milos likely having plateau'd as well that there's not darkness waiting, but that the future is more exciting than the present. Canada could have a couple top ten males and a top ten female in a few years.

Well so much for my Maria conspiracy theory, she has pulled out with an injury. So yeah the whole marketing campaign on the women's side has been a disaster. As for the men Andy has pulled out, so Rafa is the #1 seed and Roger #2, Rafa takes #1 overall if he gets to the SF. Also the other two in the top four are Zverev and Thiem. Two thirty somethings and some youngins, quite the contrast.

I'm glad she's out again. This gives the better Canadian talent more exposure as opposed to the media slamming Genie down our throats for another day or two.

Milos and Jack Sock are warming up as I type - TSN2 has the match for those able to watch.

Milos looked terrible today against Jack Sock losing 7-5 6-4 to the American.
