They did. The GOP controls everything now. Obstructionism is over.

Repeal Obamacare.
Jail Clinton.

Ban Muslims.
Build a wall.
Weaken the first amendment, the EPA, FDA...

George W. Bush is looking pretty good right now, isn't he? People had no idea how much worse it could get.

But they ignored all of that in favor of handling of emails.

The media helped Trump? How could you even argue this. Shillary got the debate questions ahead of time and we witnessed one of the saddest excuses for a "moderator" in action. The whole media kept on the narrative that she was the safe pick and she was ahead, you had to have blinders on to believe any of it. Obama sealed it for Trump really, by promising hope and making things worse.
Hillary's crimes don't end at emails bud, that's where they start. Her track record is much worse then Trumps, that's without even bringing into account her sexual predator husband. LOL the spin!

News coverage is free publicity, Roger Ailes was absolutely critical in exploiting that in Trump's favour.
Remember when he held that press conference to announce how great his new hotel was?
This is a new age. The sheer amount of media coverage was hugely influential in legitimising trump as a Candidate.

A vote for Trump is not an indicator you are racist, saying that makes it clear you are a parrot, repeating rhetoric that someone in an office is paid to conjure. A vote for Trump can be for many reasons, but most importantly, you are probably sick of Washington.
Alberta basically went through a similar protest vote, and it will hopefully force the losing parties to rethink their approach. This whole situation may help fix both parties.
|
Except the NDP didn't run on an agenda of hate, segregation and environmental and corporate recklessness and protectionism.
A vote for Trump is desperate vote by uneducated people trying to find some sort grip on a job despite being unskilled and left behind.

This election is on it's death bed. She loses Wisconsin and the best she can finish is 268.
It's pretty well done folks.

They voted for Trump for the same reason Alberta voted for the NDP.

Not everyone who voted Trump is racist but everyone who voted Trump is supporting a racist and a sexist among other things.
The reason he will win is because of the people who hate Muslims, blacks, and Mexicans. 3 minorities Trump hates and has been vocal about. It's not a landslide victory if he wins and that'll be the difference without a doubt.

Not surprising. In a way, we may get a situation where the polls were not all that far off, but failed to account for inefficient vote distribution.
It also reveals that the US electoral system is broken. The GOP will control all three branches of government, having lost the national popular vote in two of them.

The problem is that I don't actually have any faith that he himself will be attempting to push any legislation.
The GOP run House and Congress will push bills to stop Obamacare, to repeal marriage equality, to hamstring the EPA, to cut taxes for corporations and billionaires, to cut funding for education, to privatize social security, to overturn Roe v Wade, to further limit campaign funding restrictions and allow even MORE money in politics, etc.
And Trump isn't going to do a single thing to stop any of it. He's not veto-ing those bills.
And he's going to put justice on the Supreme Court that will go along with those GOP choices.
I've said all along that this goes so far beyond just the person sitting in the White House.

I hope they build the wall on our border. Hell, I'll even chip in to pay for it so Trump feels like it's a win for them.
