Is anyone aware of Pi Day specials for tomorrow at pizza joints in Calgary? I know the major chains and Blaze Pizza usually have offers.

We ordered from Little Tavern last week after a long hiatus, and it was a pleasant surprise. Definitely still a strong option for a NY style pie on the West Side.
Pig Perfect was excellent, the truffle mushroom was good but not great.

Awesome, no more Paul's Pizza. And I liked it, too. Why does it always seem to be pizza shops that go full dumbass during the pandemic?

made a last minute call to dine in there and catch the early Flames-Wings game on Saturday- 'electrical problems' and the venue wasn't open

I didn't click on the interview, just saw they are recommending Rebel Media. What is he saying during the interview? (At work rn)

he said that all of his staff are fully vaccinated + boosters and will continue wearing masks while working in the restaurant until critical hospital bed usage has dropped significantly. while he cannot enforce vaccination or masks on his valued patrons, he'd like to remind everyone of the importance of keeping everyone safe while enjoying delicious pizza.
also he finds the freedom protests down at the Beltline distasteful, and is offering free pizza to Beltline residents to help keep them energized for their fight to reclaim their neighborhood.

I’m not going to watch Rebel News so I have no idea what this is about. I really like their pizza so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but I don’t support people with whack job politics.

I was in Calgary last month and tried Paul's largely based on the good reviews here. I thought it was okay but that's about it. I'm coming back in two weeks. Any recommendations for a crispy, thinner type pizza in the south end of the city?

He's a convoy supporter, so if you have spent money there, it's gone to illegal protests. He thinks his business shouldn't be bad mouthed because of his views, but if he is supporting a cause with your dollars then I don't see how it isn't fair game to say that people shouldn't eat there.

Paul's loves to stir controversy on their social media. They aren't at Without Papers level but they are fairly close.

In this area, I tend to hit up Select Pizza as my 'main' pizza place. I'm a fan of the Hawaiian Deluxe
If I can't decide what I want on it, Blaze Pizza (By Sunridge Mall) is pretty good.
I've been giving Red Swan (By the London Drugs on 32 Av) a shot as well. They have some interesting stuff/combos, and I've not had a bad one there yet.

I don't have a thin recommendation but I do have a crispy/ cheesy recommendation:
Crispy Crust - they also do some pretty decent wings too.

My go to is Rio Pizza in Temple if I’m in that part of the NE. They have a solid thin crust and usually pretty generous with the toppings.

It's still there? I lived in Temple in the mid 80's and ordered from there all the time.
