It'll help when they get that roof on Ashe. Hopefully they manage a second roof one of the smaller courts too.

Yeah when I was there for the US open our matches were screwed around cause of rain. The need a freakin' roof there. It rains constantly.

That whole generation is slowly hanging them up. I expect Fish to be next. The Bryans can go awhile longer though. They've already figured out how to balance home and tennis life.

Bouchard drops her fist set 6-4 to Kerber. She looked very strong but Kerber really turned it on in the last 2 games to take the set.

the Super Bryan Bros. are 35, which on the singles tour would make you an ancient reanimated mummy. but in doubles you can look like a spring chicken forever. how long did Navratilova keep winning doubles trophies before finally calling it quits?

that's why singles tennis is so lonely and cruel. when you start to slip, there's nowhere to hide, no smaller role you can take on the 3rd line to make yourself look good while younger teammates pick up the slack. I felt really bad for Blake as he got choked up knowing he should have won last night but...most of the time, sports doesn't care about your fairytale ending.

#4 Sara Errani gets dumped in the second round and it wasn't particularly close (3 and 1). Eugenie is up 5-2 in the second set so hopefully she can close that out and force the 3rd.

Just been watching the 3rd set, Bouchard is down 2-1 but looks pretty strong. She can take this, she looks faster and stronger than Kerber.

Bouchard dug herself out of 0-40 or else she would have been dead. Still down a break though.

Wow, I thought it was game over there, down 4-2 and down 40-love and she comes all the way back to win the set. Huge. Not over yet.

Eugenie showing a lot of moxie right there. Even if she doesn't pull it out she's shown she has the drive and ability for greatness.

5-3, not looking good. She's missed a lot of makeable shots, it's a shame she'll probably lose this. Stupid Kerber and her stupid grunts and fist pumps.

Bouchard has given her all, really liked how she always attacks, really has made Kerber work for this match.

Man, she's clearly the fan favorite today. It's funny listening to the crowd get jacked when she makes some of these shots.

Too bad. Lots of little errors sunk her. She looked good though, she tightens up some of her game and she's got a bright future.

The only thing thats really holding Eugenie back right now is her serve. Doesn't get enough firsts in and has a really weak second serve, opponents are really sitting on the second serve. But shes still only 19 so I can't even imagine how good she'll be in a few years if she keeps putting the work in.

woohoo! Raonic starting, and it sounds like an awesome Scottish commentator!

Wozniak and Dancevic out today. Wozniak expected, Dancevic expected too but I was hoping he'd put up more of a fight.
