Forget about the failed sendings off of firstly Skrtel when Welbeck was going to be clean through and secondly the world's best left back for a 2nd yellow card when he was rugby tackling Valencia to the ground.

Forget also the penalty he failed to give for the blatant shove on Kagawa into Reina in the box when he was about to tap the ball into the net.

The real crime here is the missed corner kick he failed to give to Liverpool which without doubt cost them a point. Once again Howard Webb proves that he is in Fergie's pocket.
Sorry, did I miss a whole bunch of Liverpool fans on here moaning about Webb?

Webb is a poor ref imo, both ways. He has screwed over Liverpool in the past, not just against United. He's also screwed over numerous other teams too, including United. He's vastly overrated by the football hierarchy. They must like his hairdo or 'commanding' presence perhaps. I used to be suspicious about him but now I realize he's just a really crap ref. Nothing more.

United deserved the win. They played very well for the first hour and could, and should, have had more. Liverpool came on in the second especially after the goal, played well, and could have scraped a draw. They didn't and, really, like I said United deserved the win in any case. No complaints here.

Not a whole bunch. Just, as I mentioned, Locke and his conspiracy theory.

Rodgers didn't do himself any favours yesterday. Talked about the need to be brave at OT and then starts Sturridge on the bench. Then, there was the performance of "the Welsh Xavi" who was completely out of his depth yesterday.

24 points is a fair reflection of the difference in quality despite Rodgers spin on it.

I never understand why a manager would even go there.
24 points is the REALITY of the difference in quality.
Who cares about anything other than that.

Anyone remember Michael Johnson? City finally released him. What a fall due to constant injuries, probably in part due to his unprofessional lifestyle.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...anchester-city

Michael Johnson, once tipped as an England international and one of the best young players to emerge through Manchester City's academy in the past decade, has been paid off from his contract after the club finally ran out of patience with him.

Johnson, convicted of two drink-driving offences last September, was offered a severance package from his £40,000-a-week contract just before Christmas, after several years of decline. The club decided not to announced it publicly but it has come to light now after a photograph of the 24-year-old appeared on the internet looking bloated and unfit.

Once the subject of a £10m bid from Liverpool, the former England youth international has suffered a series of injury problems but he also caused considerable disquiet behind the scenes because of his attitude towards being a professional footballer and, specifically, his fondness for a night out.

Pep taking a job (Bayern) in a league that he should be winning 90% of the time

way to take on a challenge....

Mancini and Rafa couldn't be more excited

What a freaking mess. Hes got two weeks to find a striker of some quality...must be some French guy somewhere we could use. Ugh. And if Colo goes home? Forget it, theyll go down for sure.

Pretty good haul for 'Arry.

To get those two guys for a combined $15million really is a steal.

My fantasy is still Cantona. LOL, he wont be coaching for at least 3 yrs in New York though. Just announced their new 25,000 seat stadium today.

Pep though, is the prudent choice.

I've always wanted Moyes to take over United when Fergie calls it quits ... but him carrying on for 2 or 3 years could also push the door wide open for somebody like Solskjaer. But really, as long as it isn't Mourinho, I probably won't complain.

Theo signs

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21078962
Theo Walcott has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract with Arsenal, worth £100,000 a week.
The England forward rejected a five-year offer worth £75,000 a week in August and could have left on a free transfer at the end of the season.

He`s received what he wanted from the Arsenal, now it`s time for the Arsenal to get what they require from him. Neville was right, his career begins now.

Oh man, poor AVB may have to start Parker in lieu of injured Sandro.

Things that Parker is excels at:
