Whew I was worried the Fins were going to win in OT. I agree with KTown, no more middling QB's they need a franchise QB and if it takes losing every game this season, so be it.

I think those two are gone for sure. For me the question is can Ross shut his yap and stay out of the way and let a football guy run his team. Thats what I am doubtful of. He seems to love keeping himself in the headlines, and meddling owners, don't work so well in the NFL. Jerry Jones got away with it for a few years early on. But ever since he's had pretty mediocre results.

I see 3 winnable games for the Dolphins (Chiefs, Redskins, 1 of the two against the Bills) whereas I can see the Colts winning maybe 2 (Panthers, 1 against the Jags) but I can see them going 0-6 in the division because the Titans, Jags, and Texans all have top tier running backs and the Colts cannot stop the run. The Rams should be able to win a few divisional games. If somehow the Colts & Dolphins both end up 0-16 how would the tie-breaker be decided?

I will be going down to San Diego for the Packers game in 2 weeks, thankfully the Pack are my NFC team because the Chargers made Sanchez and Burris look like hall of famers... Rivers has ben so good for his career but this year he looks awful. With their non existent pass rush and horrible DB play, although i think Weddle looks ok, Rodgers is going to kill these guys

I'm going to laugh my ass off when Luck decides to stay for his senior year.

I think it is based on strength of schedule at that point.

Luck may be the best QB prospect to come down the pipe since Elway....but he isnt the only guy in this draft class that could have a very good NFL career. Matt Barkely gets zero hype because of the 2 year bowl ban on USC, but he has been in a pro style offense from the day he started as a true freshman, and will probably the most ready to start in the NFL. Landry Jones in OK and Robert Griffin at Baylor are a couple other guy who have NFL potential as well.

Just because Luck is out there, you dont intentionally lose football games no matter what. If that was the case how would you attract any top echelon football people to join such an orginization? How would you attract top free agents? No one worth their weight in salt would want to join a team who purposely loses games....not to mention the amount of $$ involved in lost merchandising and ticket sales. The whole idea is so preposterous it isnt even worth the energy wasted just thinking about it.

I am guessing he'll at most do a Eli Manning and say he won't play for the team with the first pick, and force a trade.

Given the fact that his college coach spurned the Dolphins this past season, I don't like that team's chances if he has the "I'll pick where I play, or at least, where I won't play" attitude.

And T99 is right, there are some other guys...Barkley may have Pete Carroll recruit him once again to Seattle.

I agree about the other available quarterbacks, I guess that's why I think the Suck for Luck campaign is a bit short sighted.

I completely understand the desire for a franchise quarterback, the Saints went decades without one.

I don't get why other teams don't go with the tested and proven route of signing a castaway free agent with limited success coming off of shoulder surgery...

Ponder may make the usual rookie mistakes, but man the kid can play for sure....has his team with a chance and thats all one can ask from a 1st time starter.

If McFadden is out for awhile, then the Raiders really wasted that 1st rounder trading for Palmer. Without McFadden they are nothing.

Demarco Murray should be Dallas' starting RB from here on out. He's so much more talented than Felix Jones.

I really liked how Ponder played today, especially considering he was up against the defending champs and throwing to one of the the worst receiving corps in the league.

The offence showed a spark today and had some rhythm. Another loss sucks, but I'm excited to see what Ponder can do the rest of the way. Hopefully they can pick him up a decent deep-threat in the off season.

The Vikings are not one of the worst receiving corps in the league when Berrian is on the bench, like he was today.

It was a great debut for Ponder.

Berrian shouldn't be as bad as he is. Favre didn't throw to him for two seasons and his game hasn't recovered.

Also, say what you want about Tebow's mechanics, but that dude has a knack for winning football games.

Well it almost shouldn't count, but I love beating the Raiders in the black hole, and even better a shut out. Considering that the Chiefs are still considered one of the three worst teams in the history of football by the Adam Ranks of the world and a few others, they've rebounded back to .500 which shows some character. Who knows if they beat the Chargers at home on Monday night, maybe they have a shot at winning the division with a 9-7 record.

Former Stamps DT Tom Johnson makes the strip there on the fumble.
