Don't even mention to me about the ??? lapras. Haha. Found a lapras a few blocks from my bro in Law's parent's house as we left for dinner here in Edmonton.. I didn't have much balls to begin with probs about 35 total with ultras.

Man, is it far you'd likely have to throw far to hit it. I even tried changing the a/r a few times to make it closer. It ended up running on me on my very last pokeball after it broke out of it. I'm still sour about it... Haha

Level 24. Made a huge jump in my Pokedex while in Vegas, but since coming back to Calgary, it has been back to catching Drowzees.

The game can be weird, I will go through a few days of playing intense, and then not play for 3 days.

Anyone get the new update yet?

I caught a Lapras while out on Saturday evening. Very useful, but I don't think I'll be powering this one. I don't have much candy as this is only my second Lapras catch. I'll likely wait to hatch a better specimen, or perhaps catch a better specimen. This one is 1872CP, 171HP with a 3500 power up and the ideal move set Frost Breath and Blizzard. The IV's didn't really suggest this is the one I should be expending resources on.

We are going to Vegas in a little bit - how much data did you buy for the trip? We were planning on grabbing a bunch of new pokemon while we were done there, but don't really know how much data to try and buy in advance. We are going for 3 days.

If you are on Telus, you just need to get Easy Roam. It's 7 bucks a day when you are in the US to access all your data, minutes and texts. Actually pretty amazing. Used my phone like normal. The Strip is seriously the best time I had with the game haha

Also forgot to add that free wifi is everywhere in Vegas, but if your walking up and down it could get annoying always having to sign in.

Yeah I dunno. IV's way over rated imo. It's all about the attack sets.
I've got 6 big Vaporeons. 3 are 100%ers. All those have water gun and water pulse. Therefore absolute junk.
2 of the remains 3 'may not be good in battle', but have hydro pumps. Pretty sure I know which 2 I'll dust up some.
Basically low IV's mean it will cost me more dust to get them maxed, and they will have a bit less CP/HP when they get there.
I could also wait more. Maybe my 10th Vape will be a 100%er with ideal move set...

Agreed on movesets being more important than IVs. People are too obsessed with the max 10% multiplier.

We are with Fido and it seems like they have the same sort of thing. Unfortunately, it's only part of their new plans and we have an old grandfathered plan from many years ago. Guess I'll just have to review our data usage from the past few weeks and try to figure out how much we'll likely use and just buy their short term roaming plans.

EDIT: Never really thought about the wifi options - agreed it'd be annoying, but the short term data options seem pretty expensive ($8 / 50 MB)
