I believe that means the loser has to use an avatar of the other guys choice for some period of time.

I'll take that bet.
I have been predicting Bennett having a breakout season for the past few, no looking back now!

Now all we need is to get a Hamonic and Fox for Kessel deal done and place Kessel on a line with Bennett and Jankowski and let Phil feed the puck to Sammy for a breakout year.

haha, or Bennett to feed Fhil the puck so I can win the bet
If we somehow managed to get Phil here without losing Bennett/Brodie/Hamilton then I'm alright losing that bet anyways!

After being this patient with Jankowski's development, I can't see the Flames giving him up unless it's for a REAL good piece.

I wonder how Treliving feels about dealing with Chicago, I think they could be a good fit.
They pretty much need almost everything the Flames have, the question is do they have anything the Flames want.
They need a top four defenseman ... Brodie
They need a goalie prospect ... Gillies
They need about to break in defensemen ... many
But I just don't see that help from Chicago to make a deal worthwhile. Saad shoots left but is expensive and had an off year, plus Chicago would be looking foolish after the trade last summer.
Another West Club that could work is Minnesota with Niedereter, that might be a Brodie even up swap.

Will be interesting to see if Fenton shakes up that roster given their window is now and the current roster isn't quite good enough.

If the Hawks attached a 2nd to Saad in a Brodie swap I would be okay with that deal or if they retained 1.5M I would be happy with a one for one swap.
Do the Wild need a Dman? If so. Neidereter or Coyle for Brodie would be another deal I would be all over.

If we are dealing with Chicago go big. Hamilton+Gillies+Kylington+2019 1st for Pat Kane.

I'm not sure if Chicago would take that or if we could afford to pay Kane $10.5 forever

I'm not sure they would either but with cap rising and unloading Hamilton I think the cap is alright given the player you are getting. Gaudreau playing with Kane full time = unstoppable.

Why do the hawks need goalie and D prospects?
Anton Forberg is a year older than gillies and played 35games last year for Chicago and put up a .908 s%.
The hawks have 10 defenders signed under 25 years of age. The Flames have 5.

That's way too much to pay for Pat Kane in my opinion. As far as I'm concerned Hamilton alone takes a big chunk of the value Kane has.

For Chicago's goalies, it's quantity over quality, as it's Forberg and then nothing.
On defense it's quality over quantity, as they have 10 quad A players.

Their backend is an absolute mess, particularly on the right side where both Murphy and Seabrook are expensive bottom pairing guys at this point
Also big questions in net with Crawford’s health (vertigo I think) and Forsbergs underwhelming play.
Sure they have 10 defenders signed under 25 but that’s not really all that great of a metric. Forsling and Jokiharju are the only two that seem solid and I would still consider a guy like Fox to be a more promising prospect.

No and I don't think anyone else would without Chicago retaining a bunch of salary. I think they are stuck with Toews.

Tell me you are joking. You do that trade every day and twice on Sunday, Kane is a franchise player that would instantly put the Flames in SC contender status.
