Spitballing but off the top of my head another trade with Florida could work. They could use a top 4 left D and the Flames could use some speed to their forward groups. Flames would have to retain on a Dulcair swap, Bennett's hit is a lot closer.
Talk now could lead to something in the offseason as well.
Listen, all I've said is that the Flames, if the opportunity presented itself, would do well to find a way to use this clear window of increased GM activity to mix up their roster cause this roster just isn't clicking.
If they did nothing because nothing presented itself, that's fine.
What I don't want to see is them moving picks and prospects for older vets.
