I'll be around most of the evening as well and I agree about the mics Merc. I'll get my sorted out for tonight. They probably wouldn't have helped in that 10-1 shellacking but they would have helped the next game for sure, we could have used the dump in more.

BTW, remember that Road 2 Glory team we played last Thursday? They were rated 2nd overall in the Pro, beat us 6-0. I just looked at their roster, and a guy on their team has played 2,850 games. NHL 10 came out mid-September right? So this dude has played an average of 10 games EVERY DAY since the game came out. That is insane.

And I think my 340 something games is a lot. Some people have no lives, I'm sure that guy doesn't have a girlfriend.

Great games last night! We took a few on the chin but also had some great games. Yay, team!

Last night was really frustrating. 3 of the 4 games we played with Jobo had that stupid glitch where the D don't face the puck by default. So when there is a rush into our zone the D have to hold down L2 to skate backwards, it makes timing hits and blocks impossible. I'm not sure why it only happens once in a while (3 out of 4 games is very unusual) but I hope to hell EA fixes the issue for 11.

And that team that killed us 10-0 is 2nd (edit: they are in 3rd now) in the Pro league, not sure what the point of having a Casual and Pro league is if we have to play Pro teams anyway.

It isn't a glitch. There is a setting you can enable/disable called 'auto-skate backwards', and when in a team game the whole team defaults to the setting of the host. If the host has it disabled, then the whole team has it disabled. Most players play with it off (in the teams I play for, we make sure the host has it disabled), as I prefer to hold L2 to skate backwards on D.

Team Rage matched up with you because the matchup system is more based on number of players (ie. 5v5) than pro vs casual. For a pro team, it'll check pro first, but before it matches 5v3 for example, it will check casual for a matchup. BTW, most pro teams have casual teams with second accounts to noob hunt or practice different plays without affecting the main club's stats (I'm on a few myself), so you'll never get away from playing better players.

Thanks Chuck, glad to know it isn't a glitch I guess. I don't know how you can play D with having to hold down L2 like that, maybe if you are used to it it isn't bad but because it happens once in a blue moon (for me) it totally screws me up.

And it's not so much getting away from better players, it is why bother having the two leagues if pro plays casual anyway? Maybe there aren't enough active teams to support two leagues.
