Looked like when he regained possession after bobbling it, he had a toe of his foot still on the ground. Just barely a catch imo.

The Sod Father. He has done all 57 Super Bowls and is retiring after this one. Tough to blame a guy with over a half century of successful games.

The fact Sirianni is badly out game managing Reid must warm Eagles fans hearts.

It’s like goalie interference or kicked goals in hockey.

It's not that hard to figure out what the call SHOULD be, most of the time. Whether that actually ends up happening is another story. There are actually sometimes close calls though and that was one; wouldn't have been too much to say about either outcome but I think I agree that that was a catch.

Eagles wasted a timeout to try a field goal. Second half offensive play calls a bit suspect

So, Super Bowl MVP so far is... Nick Sirianni?

Well one of those is a catch because he gets both feet down with possession/control. The other one he also gets both gets both feet down with possession/control and it’s not a catch. It’s completely dumb.

And I think it’s been that way going back at least as far as Dez Bryant years ago. It’s just plain stupid.

Don't get why that is controversial. Ball was bobbled then controlled with foot still in bounds.

Super Bowl MVP might be the cleat chooser for whoever avoids the big slip when it matters.

I think some are going overboard with their complaining about the officiating. The calls have been for the most part spot on according to the rulebook. Have there been a number of very close ones that could have gone either way? Yes. But that doesn't mean there has been "refball" or whatever.

What? A David Grohl commercial for Canada supporting Crown Royal? I wasn't expecting that.

Well the first call was... wrong. But the difference, and probably the reason they got it wrong, is because the ball wasn't obviously secure when it came into contact with the ground.

That said, it's not "we don't know what a catch is". It's that the referees in the NFL frequently miss calls that they should easily make or make calls that are obviously wrong on replay.

On the "interception", it's because the receiver didn't have time to make a "football move" prior to the hit/turnover.

I probably feel like an American watching hockey and being explained the kicking rule.

OK the kicking rule in hockey is legitimately mysterious. That said, goaltender interference is actually pretty easy - is there contact with the goaltender in the crease? Yes? Then the goal is coming back unless the player was pushed into the crease.

If the Eagles defence could make a single play that would be very helpful. Gotta hold KC to a FG
