I don't know about evil but that's close to my unpopular opinion. Steve Jobs was a great salesmen and not some magician visionary and genius people make him out to be.
Jobs didn't really 'invent' anything per se, but what he did that was revolutionary, is make all his products work seamlessly together.... as long as you bought his stuff, and that has always been the allure of Apple to me, even though you are forced to pay double the price for that convenience.
However, as someone in professional sales, I can definitely say that Jobs is revered and always the 1A example for his ability to spin the most simple concepts, into LIFE CHANGING ones. The man was the greatest salesman that ever lived and that is a fact.

I have a great deal of respect for the Wehrmacht. I found that the general German soldier was extremely good at his job, and a terrifying enemy to have to face in terms of pure warfare combat. That doesn't excuse the Third Reich, the SS, the military leadership (outside of Rommel, who I'm very intrigued by)

God no, I don't have a nickel of it. But the guy was an incredible spin seller. I have been to some pretty top level sales courses, and guys that wipe their butts with 100 dollar bills always cite him as the ultimate example of a salesman selling you without you even knowing it. You have to look at him not through a techhies eyes, but as a normal consumer.
I am not saying it is a good or bad thing, and could certainly see through it, but the hype and demand the guy was able to create was unreal. It is no coincidence that product launches and stock have been less than spectacular since he died. Jobs was Apple. And Joe public was captivated by what he had to say.
And yeah, I am knee deep in iCrap, because I got suckered into the eco-system. Kinda po's me. But I also love the idea of bringing my iWhatever home, and it automatically just syncing up with everything I have without having to apply for admission for computer sciences at MIT. I don't have time to dink around with things to get them to work.

I have a Lumia 920 on my second line, and the thing is AWESOME.
No more dual citizenship. If you come here from another country, and apply for Canadian citizenship, you should have to renounce the citizenship of your former country. If you move to another country from Canada, as a Canadian citizen, and you apply for citizenship in that country, Canada should make you renounce your Canadian citizenship.
Don't like that? Then don't apply for citizenship in your new country. Remain a landed immigrant and keep your original citizenship.

I kind of regret not getting a windows phone. My S3 is a good phone (expect for the battery which is awful) and OS is okay, pretty similar to iOS in a lot of ways.
