I haven't seen much of the Rams this year (although that start against Dallas doesn't say much for them) but with their division is there any way the Dolphins don't get Luck now?

If they can't beat Denver at home with Tebow at QB who are they going to beat?

As a Lions fan I can understand it especially with Luck available and the new rookie salaries.

I am not sure if Miami is in the same boat but for the Lions it seemed that 0-16 was about the only way to get rid of Matt Millen.

As we have seen with the Flames, it seems like nowadays being terrible is much better than just being bad.

If the Dolphins end up with the 3rd or 4th pick they get a decent player but are still screwed with no QB. Luck at least gives them a shot at getting competitive in the future.

I've been a dolphins fan for over 20 years, we've been rebuilding since 1999. I am tired of all these stopgap qbs, Luck is the real deal. We need a franchise qb to build around.

Trust me I'd rather us be sitting here at 6-0, not 0-6.

But once we hit 0-5 last week, the season was done. 10-6 maybe gets you in the playoff but there is no way our team will get to 10 wins. We are terribly coached. We need a real coach and a franchise qb and build from there.

With todays collpase, it seems like just maybe the football gods might be finally smiling on us. We still needs the Rams and colts to win a few. I don't want this team to go 0-16, but 1-15 for the first pick would be just fine.

If it was week 14 or 15, sure I could understand that but it's Week 6. It's the type of attitude that people think they have to loose to get better is the reasoning why they suck. A loosing attitude is very contagiousness and carries from one part of the organization and spreads like a virus

Lucks dad is going to be very influential about whether or not he just goes to the team with the worst record. The way the current Dolphins look...he may be pulling an Archie Manning and orchestrate a trade of some type. The Dolphins are a serious mess right now from the owner down. I can see Oliver Luck not wanting his son playing for the gong show that Ross has set up in Miami.

I'm thinking that Carson Palmer is going to end up in this Raiders Chiefs game here yet. No way they can keep with Kyle Boller.

Do you think that teams that are 1-15 or 3-13 don't have losing attitudes as well?

I agree that if you are a 6-10 type team that tanking is silly but if you are as bad as the Dolphins are not sure that one or two wins is going to change much of a culture of the franchise.

Getting a player like Luck who can get the team wins and provide the team with a solid foundation can change the culture.

If we finish 5-11, what does that accomplish? We get a 4th to 8th pick possibly. That does us no good in getting arguably the best QB propect to come out of football in a long time. Is Henne or Moore really going to carry this team to the promise land. They are both robots out there. Watch them as close as I do, they lock in on there primary receiver and never check off him even if he's covered.

Trust me I want to win more than anyone, but I want to win a superbowl not 5 or 10 games. I want this team to be a top team one day and getting a franchice qb is a start.

Man, some really ugly football this morning, though glad to see Tampa lose. Thought Stafford had a bad game that was there for Lions to win, kid is really jumpy in the pocket and rushed when there wasn't pressure. The Seahawks/Browns was a horror show, and Rivers came up small once again against the Jets.

I thought Ross has stated that he is willing to spend money and wants to get a very good football guy to come in and run the show.

If he does get a respectable guy to be the GM/Head of football operations I could see Papa Luck okay with the Dolphins. I think who they hire to replace Sporano and the GM could play a role in their attractiveness.

Anything is possible but what if we land a top notch coach that knows how to build a team then maybe. Sparano will not be coaching next year and Jeff Ireland will not be the GM. If they were smart they'd be listing there houses allready to try to get full value.

I understand that, but they should have had this game and the Browns game and a 2-4 record. There's a fine line were teams win these games and it's a mental. A season's played one game at a time and not 16.

I don't have any delusions that the dolphins are going to rip off 8 wins in a row but there no reason that they can't go out and win their next game regardless who they play. Win one game at a time and find out where the chip lay afterwards

It means nothing, it just means I am tired of 20 years of mediocricity. We were close with Marino but not good enough, we've been horrible since with a few lucky seasons inbetween. I will never cheer for anyone but the dolphins. I was just trying to justify why I think we need to suck so bad. I along with a boat load of dolphins fans and even the reporters in Miami think it is in Miamis best interest long term. You may disagree but guess what that doesn't make me less of a fan than you and it doesn't make me a better fan than you either.
