People with families are the worst. The absolute worst. They should be ostracized to some remote island until their brood come of Economically Productive age and their forbears can be abandoned on ice floes.
Maybe not, but still. Pick age appropriate movies for your kids.
Maybe you are the one that shouldn’t be going to Frozen II at a Sunday matinee.
I am sure imdb would reveal more, but Spiderman is the only movie I can think of where he was an cheesy villain.
Not always villain, but Boondock Saints was terrible as well. I know the IMDB rating would beg to differ but that was such a stupid movie on every level.

I I'm convinced it was to show off good acting more than anything else, and frankly I had no idea William Dafoe was a good actor as almost every movie he seems to be the same cheesy villain with the rough voice,
Dude, really?
Hell he just came off back-to-back Oscar nominations for The Florida Project and At Eternity's Gate. Still haven't seen The Lighthouse but by most accounts his omission this year was seen as a snub.

I watched The Gentlemen last night and I agree that Colin Farrell was great. He stole every scene he was in. I enjoyed Hugh Grant's creepy, lecherous performance as well. It's a fun movie and none of the actors phoned it in. Now I want to get one of those track suits Coach and his crew wore.

JoJo Rabbit was IMO pretty good, but not great. It felt somewhat confused about what kind of a movie it wanted to be, exactly. What's the general tone we're going for? Is this supposed to be a satire world, or a real world shown as JoJo sees it? What exactly are the targets of the satire? What are we saying?
Good acting performances throughout, Sam Rockwell especially knocked it out of the park (as usual).
Worth seeing, funny and interesting enough, but I felt it could have been a lot lot better.
I was underwhelmed with JoJo Rabbit. It was good, but it's not Oscar worthy imo, not in a year with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and 1917. The Joker is probably going to win anyway and I also thought it was just ok as well, so what do I know.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, thought it was all around fantastic. I've got a few minor gripes here and there, things I'd have preferred were done a little differently, but the vast majority of it is phenomenal.
Phoenix was great, and yes that greatness papered over some cracks, but those cracks were minor overall.
I understand they're talking about a sequel, how could they not with this level of success? But I kind of hope they dont.
One of the things that made this great was the way it worked out with the Joker's character but one of the major shortfalls that I thought they dealt with well was how this could all actually happen. They kept it dark and gritty and real which is in following of the ethos of Batman/Joker and I thought they did that very well, but also that this was something that was likely to fall apart if stretched too far.
My only other issue was with Thomas Wayne, I might be out to lunch there but his portrayal didnt sit well with me on two levels. Firstly because Thomas Wayne is essentially supposed to be some Civic Saint. Even people who hated him loved him, etc. I know thats ridiculous and unbelievable but it worked because hes dead. We've all seen that.
But secondly it was because if they had portrayed Thomas Wayne in that manner it would have worked so well within the story arc of the Joker. Because even if Thomas Wayne had been super nice and kind and empathetic it wouldnt have mattered....because the Joker is crazy but it would have made him seem even crazier.
Anyways, as I said, minor gripes aside it was overall fantastic. Solid 8.7663/10.
