Poland (who play Russia in March) and Sweden and Czech Rep (who would play the winners after that) have announced they will boycott those games if they're played in Russia.

Gonna go to a Costa Rican primera match this weekend.
Deportivo Saprissa (my friends favourite team, from San Jose and I believe the countries most popular), vs Guadalupe who are top of the table. Although, decent parity and only about 6/7 matches played. Will be at Saprissa’ stadium, that holds 20,000.
Should be fun!
So Saprissa won! Couple corrections though.
Firstly, getting tickets was a nightmare. Think Ticketmaster is trash? ETicket is the worst. Thankfully, she sorted it out and we actually sat in one of their private suites. But let me be clear, these suites are NOTHING like the ones we’re accustomed to. Their own toilet is pretty amazing though.
Secondly I said 20,000 — but due to restrictions; no food or drink. Masks 100% of the time, and approximately 1/3 attendance (not sure of the specifics).
Heckuva experience. Better quality than CPL, and below MLS. The game was entertaining, with a 65’ minute 2-1 winner, then a Saprissa second yellow dismissal, then a half hour full press by Guadalupe to the final whistle.
Great stuff. I can’t imagine that stadium (small steep seats, on top & close to the pitch,) with drunk fans.
Would recommend. I’ll upload a couple pics when I fly home.
