Be advised:
If you see Danielle Smith in your right wing mirror, she is closer than she appears.

^^^^^

He's come for Stampede many times, no? I seem to remember him here on multiple occasions during Stampede.

edit: quick google search says last year and 2018. Pretty sure there's more.

Just the premier of Alberta gladhanding and posing for a photo with a bigot wearing a "Straight Pride" shirt. Cool. Cool.

Looking back, the biggest mistake that baby boomers made was telling their children they were special. That shirt just screams please notice me, I need to be recognized and validated.

People like that are the first ones to call someone a snowflake but will also be the first one to feel insulted. It's insane.

Not everyone who voted for the UCP is a homophobic/transphobic bigot, but it at least shows that it isn't a deal-breaker for them to support a party that openly embraces homophobic and transphobic bigotry...which honestly isn't any better.

If you elect a party that enables bigots to have control over society, and make policy that further represses a group of people, well, maybe it doesn't make you a bigot, but it does make you a bigot enabler. Is that any better?

Province reviewing opt-in clause for Alberta union dues after charitable donations take a hit

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...-hit-1.6900711

Quote:
The Alberta government plans to change legislation passed three years ago that unions say is hurting their ability to donate to charities.

In a mandate letter released this week, Premier Danielle Smith directed Jobs, Economy and Trade Minister Matt Jones to consult with private sector unions "on ways to reduce red tape in aspects of the Restoring Balance in Alberta's Workplaces Act that made it unduly onerous for unions to make charitable donations."
Credit it where it’s due, the UCP are trying to fix a problem.

Also credit where it’s due, the UCP willfully created this problem despite the warnings.
