So, the democrats are being forced by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to put Phillips on the ballot, and the Republicans want to make Trump the defacto candidate without primary consent.
Do the Americans know that it is at this stage in the process where democracy dies, and everything following is theatre?

The U.S. has been a theatrical kleptocracy for decades now. Don't know why people still believe any of the folks with real power are actually serving the average American.

Not a kleptocracy in the sense of the past 80 years of the Russian states. But their inability to regulate or tax certain income streams related to capital has really effect their ability to govern.

Their governing and regulatory bodies have basically all been captured by corporate interest, and their policies are designed to extract from the working class and give to the rich. Meanwhile, both parties serve their donors at the expense of their constituents.
That pretty much perfectly describes a kleptocracy.

Just over $20 billion for border provision, including expansions to existing policies and new policies. That includes $650 million for the border wall, approximately $4 billion to hire new asylum officers and additional funds to provide counsel for unaccompanied children.
$60.06 in security aid for Ukraine.
$14.1 billion in aid for Israel.
$10 billion in humanitarian assistance for civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, Ukraine, and "other populations caught in conflict zones."
$4.83 billion for allies to "deter aggression by the Chinese government" in the Indo-Pacific region.
$2.33 billion for refugees from the war in Ukraine.
The proposal includes several tools to address the border, including: requiringthe president shut down the border if the numbers of migrants hits a specific threshold; adjusting the rules for who qualifies for asylum; expediting the process for deciding asylum claims; and allowing migrants authorization to work while awaiting adjudication of their asylum claim.
The Republican house will kill it because they dont want to give Biden a "win" and because grand master orange guy is scared of losing another election. And then they will proclaim he is doing nothing for border security and cult will eat it all up as usual.
Rinse, repeat.

Biden should then go down to the border and hold a big press conference to explain what he wanted to do and that the Republicans rejected it

That’s one big difference between the parties. The Dems are trying to make Americans’ lives better while the GOP are always trying to take it to the other side. Say what you want about Biden but he has a heart of gold and is genuine. Trump wants to avoid prison and pad his net worth. He’s a repugnant human being.
