Everyone but 5th place gets at least one. If we finish second we’ll host the final if we win the first game, or host the semi if we lose the first.

100% agreed. Without trying to count my chickens before they've hatched I think this playoffs against Forge is going to be the making or breaking of Carducci, Wheeldon, and to a lesser extent Camargo and some of the other older core players. They HAVE to beat Forge in the playoffs or I think it is time for a big change

I would be shocked if there were any big changes. The biggest change I see happening is at CB; Klomp will move on to greener pastures and Montgomery has to be gone after being behind Field and even Trafford at CB. And they may actually let Bevan go instead of pretending he's still a Cavalry player.

Outside of that I think it'll be more tweaks to the roster and not sweeping changes. Marco will be in net every game regardless of how much they'll claim to want to give other people opportunities. Camargo will stay as he can still go on the pitch and is engaged to Spruce Meadows royalty.

Can't think of another starter that isn't under contract and has a chance to be released. Daley maybe if he's a starter but he's more depth at this point?

Yup, besides us choking in the playoffs, Forge won it and then lost in the final to Pacific and Ottawa did the same, losing to Forge in the final.

There's no questioning that Forge have been the best team in the CPL since inception and have been the most consistent team this year. However, I don't think they're miles ahead of teams like us. I honestly think they were lucky to win the final last year. We were the better team in the second half, took the lead in extra time and then allowed two wonder goals which had at least a hint of goalkeeper error to them.

They are a deep team and tough to beat at home. And our lack of playoff success against them doesn't lie. But they aren't without weakness. I don't think they're the same at CB as they were last year and they don't have a go-to striker at the moment. I think the big question is whether we will be healthy and have our key players in form when we play them. If Jay Herdman can continue to shine and we get Kamdem. Kobza and Aird back and in form, anything can happen in 90 minutes.

Me too, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't happen in this hypothetical future

But this is all a moot point because the Cavs are winning the North Star Cup this year!

The only way I could hate the Forge more than I already do is to move that evil franchise to Edmonton.

Looks like the CPL Final will be broadcast on CBC. Would be a great time for Cavalry to WIN THE NORTH STAR CUP (or choke again) in front of a big audience.

And now we will see if everyone complaining about CPL not being on TV will actually tune in....

Hopefully a sign of things to come, now that MediaPro is on the way out. I know that the major issue that the CPL had with MediaPro was that they weren't doing enough to get the games onto traditional platforms and channels.

It would be great for the league (and for us!) if this match was played in a setting like... Spruce Meadows. Just for the visuals, atmosphere, etc. It would be a great advertisement for the league.

Confirmation McMahon Stadium is getting new turf before the 2025 CFL season.

When we chatted with the Cavalry front office a couple weeks back they said# that it won't be ready for CONCACAF this year but that is good news for 2026 and beyond.

Cavalry can clinch second with a win today over Halifax and a draw or loss by Ottawa.

Forge doing us no favours so far, 2-0 Atletico start of second half

Parra for Forge got away with a punch to a York player so hopefully that’ll be a 3 game retroactive suspension. But it’s Forge so one game tops probably

Good looking crowd! And that evening light looks great on the broadcast.

Best venue in CPL it's not even a contest.

Oh why thanks OneSoccer I was really hoping you would air a prerecorded interview with a Forge player at halftime.

Cavalry is having serious problems finishing tonight. Missed should have scored multiple times by now

A Callum Montgomery winner was not what I thought would happen tonight. A W is a W.
