Ugly win. I don't see how the Chiefs win 7 games this year. Too many turnovers and penalty's, and an offence that is not impressive at all. Ever since Michell Schwartz got injured the Chiefs offence started bleeding, and it's pretty much on life support right now. Green Bay will easily best them next way.

That was more of a Giants loss than a Chiefs win. It was there for the taking but you just know that the Giants would choke.

The good news for the Chiefs right now is the AFC is weak, 9-8 should be good enough to sneak into the playoffs so they still have time to get it together. Unfortunately for them the schedule doesn't really ease up until the last few weeks of the season so they might be too far gone by then.

They could still win the division even as the Broncos are done, the Chargers are meh and the Raiders are better but could also stumble.
We thought AFC West vs NFC East would be a bloodbath but maybe not so fast. Dallas might sweep this division.

AFC West still has a lot of divisional games to play which will be very crucial for determining the playoff picture. KC and Denver have only played one divisional game so far.

I don't think they are going to get it together. They looked better in the first two weeks than what they look right now. Mahomes is just not playing good at all right now. He was just flat out bad last night. Had open guys he didn't even see all night. Too busy trying to make unconventional throws when basic ones are there. The team won't go anywhere with him playing like this. The offensive line is not looking very good either. For that much money the pressure rate can't be that high. The defence can only get better, but the unit lacks the talent to be anything better than below average. The parts just don't fit together with that group, and they keep having Daniel Sorenson on the field...
Buffalo
Tennessee
Las Vegas
Baltimore
Cincinnati
Pittsburgh
Los Angeles
seem like the 7 teams most likely to make the playoffs right now. Indianapolis might play their way back into it, if they realize they should use Jonathan Taylor more. The Patriots too might be able to sneak in if Belichick can get them to keep improving. Cleveland too if they can get healthy. So that's 10 teams who all clearly look better than Kansas City does right now.
As for the Division, Las Vegas when they aren't worried about having a racist homophobic coach have been very good. The Chargers already beat the Chiefs at home, and Denver well they have beat similar competition to what KC has thus far. At best the Chiefs are the third best team, and they might be the worst right now even with Von Miller having been traded.

Melvin Ingram to KC for a 6th. Loved seeing him in Pittsburgh, but I get that he wanted out, given that he was effectively a rotational rusher behind Watt and Highsmith.

I am too. Not only was he the leader of the defense, he was one hell of an ambassador for the Broncos.
You can't really replace that.
If Denver didn't lack an identity before this trade, they sure do now.

I will walk it back if the impairment is medically-related and not due to alcohol obviously, but doesn't look likely if they've charged him that quickly.

I think the NFL and other sports should start disciplining players much harsher for DUI's. IMO it should be 8 games minimum to make players think much harder about getting behind the wheel after drinks.

Looks like he rear ended the Toyota at high speed and the the Toyota caught fire. I hope the person who died wasn't killed by the fire. My God.

the choice to drive when drunk or on drugs is always terrible, but it's especially infuriating to me when a celebrity does this. You make millions, you have all the resources in the world. And you can't just catch a cab? Go #### yourself.

Cab? hire a personal driver
too bad, he was finally showing flashing of being a great player with a great career ahead of him...only to throw it all away.
Young athletes are given too much too early with little guidance, something needs to change

I think the rule changes that have allowed players to leave college for the pros, combined with the lack of compensation for college athletes isn't helping matters either. There's no incentive to stay in college and risk injury, so you have 20 year-olds with limited life experience being handed millions of dollars and no guidance on how to deal with it.
