He's probably a future #1. Just gotta wait for the GOAT Roger to retire. I would love to see Shapo V Murray. That matchup intrigues me.

You don't want to sell anyone short at 18/19 years of age, but no. Denis is progressing to a level, at an age that is near impossible to do in this game. Felix will be good, but will be hard pressed to do what Denis is doing now by this time next year.

Great win for Dennis, looks like he will be seeded for the French Open.

Robin Haase is next up for Denis while Rafa faces Damir Dzumhur - You would expect Rafa to advance, but Dzumhur has been playing some fine tennis this year.

there are only 16 seeds so that can definitely happen
#9 can play #17 in the first round (top 8 have byes)

Shapo and Hasse are 4th to play on the Next Gen Arena on Wednesday (they will follow the Venus Williams - Elena Vesnina match). Currently scheduled to start at 7:15 AM Mountain time, but will likely be pushed back somewhat.

Nishikori and Dmitrov are now in a third set on Next Gen. With a ladies match still to come as well, Shapovalov likely won't take the court until 11am now.

Man, that was a total evisceration by Rafa.

I was watching the start of that match on serve, 1-0 Rafa, you think Dzuhmir has a chance as he is playing well and having a great season. Then one loose point leads to a break of serve and utter domination the rest of the way.
If the body holds up and he maybe lightens the schedule like Roger, he could easily have 11, 12 even 13 French Open titles by the time he calls it a career. There is just no regression in his game on Clay whatsoever.

After his 2015 and 2016 season I honestly thought Nadal was done winning majors. It's just so nice to see him healthy and playing well again. I never in my dreams imagined he would win 2 majors in 2017 and return to #1 as well. I'm just enjoying the ride at this point cause you never know when it will end.

With Venus and Vesnina going to a 3rd set, it's going to be a while until Shapo and Haase hit the court.

Denis gave away three set points, but killed it in the tiebreak.

Is it just me or is the court getting chewed up? Some pretty bad bounces out there. 5-5 in the 2nd set by the way.
