I don't think Trump was as bad as some of you guys do but I give the win to Hillary. Not shocking though.

I have no idea why Trump didn't bring up the Graham-Leetch-Bliley act or the Commodoties Modernization Futures act at the beginning.

I've held for a long time that as soon as the American people see Hillary and Donald in a room together, this decision is made for them.
Tonight did nothing to disprove that notion.

I think it's a slight win for Clinton if grading on a curve. It was a blowout if grading straight across.

I could see Clinton gaining on Trump from this debate, even swinging voters. I dislike her less as a result of this debate. My dislike goes all the way back to Whitewater so its pretty deep. And Trump was awful.

I hate to say it, but I'd like to think we are a little more level headed on average and have a much better perspective up here though.

She's not a great public speaker. She unfortunately has to follow one of the greatest orators of the previous hundred years.
I do not see the truly 'terrible' things Clinton has done which disqualify her from office.

Rampant lying, bullying the moderator, obvious lack of depth and completely avoiding questions should go heavily against him.
Clinton did about as well as could be expected in terms of presentation, she didn't make any huge mistakes, and she was able to deliver a lot of the points she probably wanted to. She also was able to keep him following the things she baited him with and I don't think he got to say much about his positive things that he stands for.
But did he lose any republicans? I doubt it. Did she win the young educated demographic? Did she win undecideds? I don't know.
Will this change the polls?
The moderator was poor in keeping them in time or keeping them on the question.

NBC first question: Did you mean to say you were smart for not paying taxes? His answer: I didn't say that.
*Sigh*
What he needs to say is something like this: As someone who generated economic activity equivalent to more than, for example, any random 25,000 citizens, I have directly or indirectly both caused and paid taxes in an amount few in America ever had. That at the end of a tax year my affairs do not require further payments, I know how to run a business. Should the tax laws change, I'll continue to be fully compliant and would be happy to pay more tax, if I knew that money would go to supporting building this nation. Or better yet, cut taxes to create the jobs that generate even more taxes, both from companies able to create greater economic activity and the workers who enjoy their high paying jobs.
