That's good to know. If I ever want to insult you, I'll save it for the end of my post. Then you'll never notice that I said D as in David is a poopyhead.

They should get Nylander out of there. He's going to hold back Matthews and Marner if he keeps being the top playoff performer. Like, share the glory Willy, geez.

But for the Flames I think there's better value to be had if they do separate deals for each of their UFA's. Say if you flip Hanifin or Tanev first and then hold onto the other D-man up until the deadline you'd have to imagine the packages coming back would be really interesting in a bidding war.
Also we have the top-3 trade targets on the big board heading into the deadline right now, IMO your opportunity cost is high if you package them all in a trade, especially doing it well before the deadline.
I'd love to do a trade with Dallas and try to get one of Mavrik Bourque (C) or Lian Bichsel (D) out of it. Always seems like a pipe dream to trade for highly touted prospects but if you're a team who thinks you can win it all, sometimes those are the types of moves you have to make.
|
Toronto has no choice but to load up for one more run with Nylander - if he walks for nothing, trade a 1st and two 2nds for a quality RFA.

Nylander is not the answer. Wait, he's not the Flames' answer. I'm sure he's the answer on some team, but that team is NOT the Flames. The Flames need an elite C and thr only way they will get one is to draft one. Ship out the big 3 UFA's and anyone else who wants out. Get a good pick, make it count, grow from within.

Now that st. Louis has opened up a spot on their blue line by moving bortuzzo, hanafin for perunovich and Zach bolduc looks pretty good.

Help, save, whatever.

I really hope the Leafs don't get Tanev. He's way too injury prone and the Leafs are cursed. Guaranteed season-ending injury within the first week.

Injury-prone? The man took a puck off the face and the puck died. He's like the Tick – ‘nigh invulnerable’.

If Chuck Norris was a hockey player he would be Tanev.

Why do they need an elite C? Edmonton has two or them and suck ass, Boston has none and is doing just fine.

Is that trade even good? A 2024 1st and 2026 1st. Then we get to watch Nylander walk in the summer.

It’s like saying Evel Knievel was “injury prone”.
Tanev is a beast who gives 100%, stuff is going to break. And a lot needs to break to slow him down.
