- Because his list was probably submitted back in the summer (if not a few years ago).
- He may not like cold weather.
- He may like a vibrant night life (where he can be relatively anonymous.
- Taxes (he's been one of the most 'underpaid' guys over the last few years, don't imagine he would have been keen to pay anymore than he has to. Not an issue at this stage, but likely was when writing his 12 team list.)

Any or all of the above.

That’s not unusual. I’ve had a few friends play in the show and they didn’t want to play in Winnipeg/Edmonton/Calgary.

I’m a Canadian kid, as well as a die hard flames fan, however if I had the skill(which I clearly didn’t) to make the NHL and have a choice. I’d have Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg on my no trade list. But it’s not about the team per se, but for me it’s about the city.

However if it’s just for a few months you’d think a player may want to waive for a chance to win a cup.

Ok, so... the teams that improved:
- jets: hayes
- vegas: stone
- sharks: nyquist
- avs: brassad
- stars: zucarello
- Nashville: granlund????
- wild (swapping Donato/coyle)

so basically the entire western playoff team list loaded up.

Will be a bit disappointing if the flames basically stand pat. At the same time, glad we didn't give up any of our young d.
