I've been beating the Pospisil drum to Buffalo for a while. It makes too much sense for them. They need some more beef, and we just signed Klapka to a 2 year deal.

I don't know if 9 is attainable, but if it is I sure hope Pospisil and 32 is enough to get it included. Gives Buffalo an RFA as part of the deal rather than banking on Rasmus signing 8 years.

Could very well be between the two trade proposals is where mine is the start of negotiations and the end that's pushes it over the line is your proposal. Who knows.

One thing I do like about the NBA drafts are players can be drafted and then traded right away. I think the NHL needs to adopt that more.

Imagine if the Sharks drafted Misa and waited for 9th OA (if the Flames had it) to hope for Eklund dropping there.

Andersson + Eklund for Misa would be a fair trade.

I doubt anything happens today.

Today is when the discussions really start to pick up but people are still waiting to pull the trigger.

I'd expect anything that does happen before the draft will happen between 3PM tomorow and Noon on Friday.

That's kind of the window where the bigger "pre-draft" trades occured in the past.

I value Pospisil more than most here. I think he's worth a late 1st on his own. I think the Flames really like what he brings, too.

That does seem pretty fair. Buffalo could still end up with the better prospect from pick 18 - especially in a draft like this. In every draft but especially in poor drafts, there is at least one player picked in the 11-20 range that should have gone top 10 in hindsight.

We need to start drafting more Pospisils. Here's a player (pest) with a certain set of tools that seems to be desired by the entire damn league; seems like everyone wants him. Can't score much, but holy crap does agitate and piss off other teams.

Jason Robertson is exactly what this team needs. I would LOVE to package Ras+ for him.

Pospisil is 100% a keeper to me. He’s spicy Backlund, good at everything but scoring.

To DAL: Andersson (50% retained), Pospisil (?)

Dallas opens the space up they need, while dumping their cap problems while Conroy makes use of his cap space, and gets a 25 year old 1.053PPG forward (to keep, or flip)...and then whatever he does with Dumba/Lybushkin.

Dallas then signs Marner and they've effectively added Marner, Andersson, and Rantanen in recent months...that's an improved Stars team.
