Still doesn't mean anything if he can't bring it in the playoffs. He can have 150 points in the regular season...

doubtful. Not sure if you saw the stats but Florida is like 1-17-2 trailing after 2.

Also Barkov left the game injured.

The trade itself was fine considering Tkachuk wanted out. Who knew Huberdeau would be such a dud.

Tre got literally the best deal you could possibly imagine for a player publicly wanted out and only gave like 3 or 4 teams that he'd willingly extend with.

This season has certainly been disappointing but there is lots of runway left on Huberdeau.

We don’t even have a win when trailing after two.

Tkachuk with 2 goals and 3 assists last night is now 5th overall in points and 3rd overall in 5v5 points.

Oh yeah. The longest possible runway the NHL can give.

Overall I like what trie has done, but losing both Gaudreau and Tkachuk was inexcusable. He did the best he could with the Chucky trade given that they wanted to stay competitive. However, it should never of gotten to that point. This will define his tenure with the flames and not in a positive way.

I think everyone expected Huberdeau and chucky to out up similar numbers over the next couple seasons and the huberdeau start to slide, which would of been okay. Chucky is already doubling huberdeaus production and we have him for another 8 years well into his 30s. Quickly becoming a train wreck franchise ruiner

Not surprised at all that Tkachuk is excelling. I was saying last year that Tkachuk was the real deal and even more important to the team than Gaudreau. The guy is a legit superstar and one of the best passers in the league. All he is proving now is that he is also adaptable to different teams and styles, unlike another player I won't mention.

I'm confident Huby will eventually regain his scoring but ouch... that one hurts.

Yes this may be worse than Gilmour for Leeman.

If I'm a Florida fan I'm over the moon right now. I still think they will make the playoffs.

and yet, while playing in the second round of the playoffs against the Flames biggest rival, he #### the bed. I will never forget.

Can I ask why you are confident? What has he shown you this year that inspires confidence?

This is kind of a worst nightmare scenario. Most of us had heard of Huberdeau and were aware of his numbers but very few of us (I suspect) had really ever watched him play. We all got caught up in the hype. Hell, some media even wondered whether the Flames were actually better this year than last. Huberdeau was on the cover of Hockey News a while back with the tag line superstar in the making.

I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe he will come close to the hype.

EDIT: Forgot, the added nightmare of watching Chucky absolutely tear it up in FLA, and without his pals Johnny and Lindy.

Gave up the best and most talented player on this team since Iginla. Most people on this board were thrilled to see him go due to his playstyle.
