what? of course not. but the fact is three of our biggest hurdles on the road to the finals just got better. and we didn't. that is a fact.

The Knights got gifted loads of assets, can’t compete in a negotiation vs a team with a GM who wants to go all in and willing to break the bank. Just gotta hope the Knights damage their future with this move

They are the best team in the West. They have been the best team in the West for months, and there is every reason to think they will finish the season in the #1 slot. Certainly, the Flames have holes like every other team in the League, but I fail to see anything fatally flawed here.

But that rumored price was just way too much, I'm sorry.

That's fair, but were also a better team than all three, they are the ones that had some catching up to do.

I was interested in Stone at the right price, and we'll see what else happens between now and the end of the deadline. But this is a team playing well, getting results, who's GM did a lot of work in the off season to make them better. If we walk away from deadline day having given up minimal assets and only minor tweaks to our roster, for me that's actually one of the best outcomes we could have.

I still like the Flames chances against anyone in the West, and I'm of the belief that this is far from the last year of our window.

We live and die by our goaltending. Mark Stone doesn't really change that.

I would be disappointed if it is a sign and trade for the Knights. Rental, eh.
