So a Sheriff, not a Calgary Police Service member?

Maybe wrong thread?

I'd sure like to know more about this bumper sticker.

And you can't pull someone over for a bumper sticker. I imagine she got pulled over for something else.

Yeah I should have said sheriff. Close enough to Calgary to warrant a complaint in my books. I really didnt want to draw attention to the sticker itself. Privacy might be an issue. But also the point isn't the bumper sticker. The point is much more broad then a debate over content. The questionable word is homophobe. It was teasing homophobes. So if you're offended by the word homophobe or feel persecuted because you are a homophobe then it could ruffle your feathers. The cop seemed to think it was the word that the children should be reading. It's just a simple bumpkin cop trying to protect society but over shooting his authority. The question is are you enforcing laws or your opinion. Even with an ample consideration for grey area, there was nothing offensive about content.

That's what everyone keeps saying. She swears that was the extent of the conversation. I asked as well. But y'all can think whatever. She didnt get a ticket for anything. That would have been obviously the first part of her story

Even if there was a legal reason to investigate an offense beyond a simple license and registration check....still shut up about your opinion on obviously legal stuff. Not at all appropriate for police on duty.

How much is the CPS paying you to post in this thread?

So it just said "HOMOPHOBES"? Not ##### HOMOPHOBES" or "GOD HATES HOMOPHOBES" or something along those lines?

It's probably ok he is talking about a police officer just outside of Calgary, no hard and fast rules here, relax cowboy.

The thread is about police, not thread police

No. But either of those would be ok to display. Hers was pretty funny and a bit longer. You can look up homophobe bumper stickers and debate them but I was seriously trying not to do that. It's the bigger picture that bugged me. Guys drive around with #@$% XYZPolitician stickers all the time.

I don’t even believe his story. Or his friends story, I should say.

Yeah, that's obvious. OMG hasn't been one to lie (OR HAVE THEY?), but as he said, "y'all can think whatever."

She's really young and was pretty upset by it and will probably get mad about it and post it everywhere on social media cause that's what some kids do. If someone happened to see it by googling the words on the sticker or whatever I'd feel bad about that. I should have not posted anything about it since I'm not prepared to let people I know see my unhinged rants here. My bad.

I think you should have posted it in the Gear Grinder thread.

The Sheriffs are, well a ####ing mess, in my experience.

This is a CPS thread.

I will say I am really confused on you not wanting to say what the bumper sticker was, just seems odd to me.

I think you should decide for yourselves by reading some of his post history.

I thought OMG!WTF! was a she, or at least played one on CP.

Cecil are you saying that it’s unlikely their posts which seem to indicate they’ve lead one of the most unique and interesting lives ever but for some reason haven’t been able to find anything better to do these past few years but post about it on a hockey message board aren’t being embellished or made up?

Spoiler!
I'm not sure what I find more concerning, the content of those posts or that you spent your time mining those posts.
