Milos with a great return game and breaks Kecmanovic - Serving at 3-1 in the opening set.
Edit: Milos consolidates the break punctuated with some big serves (one ace clocked at 140 MPH).

Milos wins the opening set 6-3 - That was a BTO set from Milos (Takin' care of business).

The Roanic backhand is starting to look a lot more dynamic as this season goes on. Good mix of slice and topsin compared to last season.....A few too many forehand errors for my liking today but he's certainly striking and serving well enough to win this match. The next few games will be critical as Keckmanovic is starting to gain some momentum.

Yes, nice aggressive play by Milos earns him a break in set 2.

Sealed with an ace - Milos into the semi-finals with a fine 6-3 6-4 performance. He'll play either Monfils or Thiem next.

Monfils withdraws with a left achilles issue which is a shame as he's been playing some fantastic tennis in 2019. TSN5 is showing Milos' match from earlier today if you want to watch.

I happened to be up early today and caught the 3rd set of Schnur-Lee.
Schnur squeaks out a win and is into the semis.
One fun fact about Schnur. He doesnt bounce the ball when he serves! I've never seen that.

Does bouncing the ball serve any purpose other than wasting time/recovery?

Timing/rhythm I would imagine for a lot of them. Like a golfer's pre-shot routine.

Roger is into the semi-finals following a 6-4 6-4 win over Hurkacz. Hubert acquitted himself well, just a few too many unforced errors and the GOAT played the important points better.

The announcer said it best, that was an enthralling set of tennis that Rafa takes in a tie-breaker.

Rafa took a medical timeout to get his right knee taped, seems to be affecting his serve as the speed has dropped significantly.

So any chance the Andreescu/Svitolina match will be on TSN? Can they pick up one off WTA matches?

To the many many Fed fans here: Best of luck tomorrow I'm hoping both players are on top of their game and we get another classic between these two. Good to see both are doing well early in the season. Hope Nadal wins but going to be a very tough match Fed is playing great.

To my fellow CPers who follow tennis more closely then I do. Is Andreescu Canada’s most promising tennis prospect ever? Have not been following her until this tournament, but holy hell am I ever impressed.
