Buy some stickers and covertly attach them to the ones that get dragged around everywhere.

The Monkey Top Saloon in Bentley burnt down.

That a shame.

Great little bar.

A lot of guys have gross, dry skin (not to mention the disproportionate amount of cracked hands and feet in the winter).

If water is so easy to find when you’re out and about that you don’t need a water bottle maybe you dry boys could start taking a sip of it once in a while. And use lotion for god’s sake.

I'll have you know that I use the callouses on my heels to keep the grout in my floor tile white and sparkly thank you very much!

I drink like 6 litres of water a day, and moisturize decently. And my hands are still pretty dry. When I was a kid and did neither of those things they'd get so dry that they would crack and bleed, so it definitely makes a difference.

Did you grow up/do you live in Calgary?

It’s a battle just to stay decent here. I go to California and my skin and hair just bless me for being me. I get off the plane coming back and it’s like you can feel the moisture being sucked out of your body… and not in any sort of good way.

If you drink water routinely while you’re home (I have three glasses before noon every day) you’re going be well hydrated. Unless you’re doing strenuous exercise on a hot day, you should be able to go a couple hours outside your home without drinking more. And yet my wife, like dub80s, feels the need to take her water bottle with her when she drives to Costco or to meet a friend. It’s just one of those peculiar and totally nonsensical social fads that emerge now then.

Cetaphil for the win.

Can you guys keep your water-bitching restricted to the water thread!

Some damp wench complaining about sports-bottles is no basis for a discussion forum!

Cetaphil, CeraVe, Eucerin. Men must learn these names and commit them to heart.

Well apparently giphy would shut my firm down so I can't put the "It puts the lotion on its skin..." Gif. However, I notice that the second part is "...or it gets the hose again." See, this would in fact solve the other half of PF's bitchin'. Win either way? Triple win score for Pepsi if we euphemistically consider "hose" in a lewd sense.

Cetaphil rules. I buy that stuff by the tub.

Hopkins or Foster, sure.

That dude was a hell of a ####ing actor. Gives me chills just thinking about it. And all from only about 5 minutes of actual screen time.

edit to give credit: Ted Levine. A pretty good career actually.

Oh man...so many great performances in that film but 'Buffalo Bill?' He got nuthin' in terms of love but that actor absolutely slaughtered that role.

He was absolutely outstanding.

I will also give an honourable mention to the dog. The dog did his job and he did it well.

The worst are lotion in hotels. They are already the dryest places on earth but that lotion makes it way worse. Gives you that 1 minute of relief then it is either super oily or sucks even more moisture out of you.

And the soap and shampoo too… I come out of a hotel shower and my skin will squeak… any hotel, anywhere, and I’ve never had the same feeling at any home.

'Cool Story Bro' time!

I had a client come in and her husband was a traveling salesman and he'd just died.

Upon his death she discovered giant buckets in her basement of hotel soaps, shampoos, basically anything from Hotels.

So I'm doing her taxes and she just asks me...what should I do with this stuff? It seems a shame to throw it out.

I just said..."give it to the Drop-In Centre."

They always need that stuff. The hotels dont care and have already sunk their costs, why just toss it in a dumpster? There are people that really need soap and shampoo and if you have to pick it up at a drug/grocery story its actually quite expensive relatively speaking.

I remember my first time to Cuba, I was sitting in a local bar shooting the breeze with the hotel bartender (he took me to his town) and he was mentioning it.

"Havent you noticed that most men have shaved heads? Because shampoo is hard to get and expensive!"

Huh. Okay. When I leave do want mine? If I'd known that I'd have brought more. But I dont mind leaving it here.
