I think we here can all agree
Katie Porter is THE MAN.
She's awesome, the absolute best.

He's done a real 180 over the past year or so. Like he's a different dude.

The lack of humanity, contempt for international law, etc., that this administration has shown really reveals who they are as politicians and people. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not.

As someone in Pennsylvania who proudly voted for him...man, I'm so disappointed. (I still prefer him over his opponent, to be fair) It's just absolute madness the way he completely changed his values in the span of like 6 months.

Fetterman did have a stroke which many times causes brain damage and can result in personality change. If his stroke affected the prefrontal cortex and did damage that would explain the dramatic swing in his judgement and personality. These changes happen over time as the brain rewires itself around the damaged areas, so it could be consistent with his behaviors.

Obviously you don't want a GOP senator in his place, so hopefully the Dems can put a decent primary challenger in front of him before 2026(?).

If I had to bet I think the SC is going to rule that States can interpret if they believe Trump is ineligible or not, it is the most neutral stance they can take. You will then see a bunch of States take him off the ballot and the Republican party will pivot and throw their support behind Haley. This is how they will get out of Trump.

Iowa caucuses today. I still don't understand why some states don't switch to primaries instead of requiring people to physically go to a location to gather.

It's a tradition. It's like the NHL Draft is going away from the tables and people are complaining.

That's what I suspected... which is... dumb. Just move to primaries. I remember in 2020 or 2016, they ended up flipping a damn coin at one of the caucuses because votes were equal for two candidates...
