This. All these players know what to do 3 on 3. It's the same as the NHL. Control the puck, create off man situations off of loss of posession, look for a pass for a one timer or tap in.
No one coached McDavid to try and skate through the US team. Or for Celebrini to take a low percentage shot.

Nah last man back McKinnon was hesitant and not strong on the puck. It was there for either getting the puck in possession or at very least just knocking it That is not on McDavid because Hughes jumped up right away in the break. He or any forward was going to be a few steps behind in that situation.
The decision by Makar to pinch was really risky and put McKinnon in a tough situation, who himself isn’t 100%, but McDavid on that sequence is the least guilty of the 3 skaters.

We never have, we basically got lucky due to numbers. I’m a goalie. Teaching goalies how to play goalie was something I never experienced once in minor hockey in Canada. We need to START.

Of course it sucks to lose, but they lost in a skills competition and that makes it easier to me to take. They dominated the actual game and win that one 9 times out of 10. Sucks this was the 10th time.

Maybe, but Crosby will be forever remembered as the better player with the more important legacy.

Best on best should also include the coaching staff, no?

Yeah looked like he tried to cut back caught an edge and lost his balance and that few seconds was enough for USA

Ok and tonight the OT goal was on him. Just because he's arguably the best player in the world doesn't mean he's free from criticism.
IF you don't like being on a Flames message board I also have a solution for you

No kidding. The Jays will prob never get another shot at the world series ever again. Team Canada will be back in 4 years.

Yep definitely agree. Worst of McDavid was on show tonight. He does have time to repair his legacy, he's obviously on the 2030 team.

Legacy game for Hellebuyck as a winner.
Legacy game for McDavid not getting the job done with the pressure on.

haha what a cherry picked group of stats. Last 3 seasons conveniently omits the Lightning cups.
And OF COURSE Maurice has more wins. He's coached way longer. 28 seasons I think. Career winning percent of .538.
Cooper has coached half the seasons, and has a career winning percent of .568.
I like Maurice a ton. He's one of my favorite coaches.
But you are being incredibly slanted here and really working the numbers to suit your weird argument.

I respectfully disagree. In a game that was 1-1 after 60 minutes one shot, one shot from a guy that does that better than 95% of the players in the NHL could have been the difference. Maybe that shot comes on the squandered 5 on 3 power play?

For sure. Quiet in this context definitely a good thing. Like Hanging, didn't notice him but that's because he wasn't out there being a liability
