Well that was certainly far from our best performance. It felt pretty disjointed, but I suppose that’s somewhat expected with all the injuries. The struggle to score from open play has really cost us this season.

It would sure be nice if someone could contribute from the left wing. It has been a giant black hole all season.

Musse was pretty crap, he killed seemingly every other attack with a poor shot or over dribbling. He needed to be subbed but I get why Tommy wouldn’t do that

Defence was solid! I don’t know why Tommy likes to play the left and right footed defenders on their offside. In the second half he flipped Montgomery to the left and Klomp to the right and you could immediately see how much more comfortable Montgomery looked on the ball. I thought it was also Carducci’s best game of the year. Weird I know in a game he only made a couple minor saves but he commanded his box well and his decision making and distribution was excellent I thought.

Herdman looked lively and combined nicely with Camargo, although over dribbled like everyone else. Midfield was strong as to be expected. Just our attackers looked inept outside a couple shots from Warschiewski.

Didn’t think it was a penalty at the end, Camargo was looking too hard for it. The no call on Herdman outside the box middle second half was the worst no call I thought. And Warschiewski probably did win a penalty in the 26 minute. He got cleaned out pretty good

Oh man no kidding. Wähling has no confidence and looks it. I wonder if it’s partly how they’re set up to play that’s contributing to the left wing woes. Everything has gone through Aird and Musse on the right. The left side doesn’t get on the ball much. But seriously, someone needs to step up

Cavalry far from their best today. Too many performances like that this year.

Vancouver put 8 players behind the ball and it worked and they run home with a point.

I wish that they went back to using Camargo has a sub to put on after 60 minutes. He plays with tremendous pace for 40 minutes but after that he does not help much.

Cavalry also made it way too easy for Vancouver. Rarely did they pull Vancouver out of their shape. They didn’t try to get overlapping runs in the corner and put a defender in a two v one situation very often. And when they did beat a defender with the dribble they’d keep running into two or three others rather than moving the ball on.

Frustrating night for sure, but the weather was great and they’re in the playoffs (officially). They can beat anyone in this league, they just need to be smarter

The colours of the season ticket holder renewal email are green and gold celebrating Spruce Meadows 50th anniversary. I bet we’ll see a green kit with some gold trim for next year. That could be pretty nice

Just renewed our season tickets.
$475 for 15 games is a hell of a deal.
not to mention the resale market has finally picked up.

I think last year was $455 for my seat in 109.

This year it is $475. So basically an increase of $20 for the whole season. Can't really complain about that.

At face value, a $20 increase in season tickets year over year is fine. Knowing the conversations our supporters group has held with the club this season it's quite frustrating....

I’ve been listening to these guys for a little while as they kept popping up on my feed and figured I should give it a shot. They’re good! Knowledgeable and cover the Calgary football scene well.

I wish they’d cover the Cavalry games a little more in depth with some tactical breakdowns, they seem like they really know their stuff. I’m guessing you know them shermanator, perhaps you can pass along a comment from a fan of the show

Considering the following points:
  • Season ticket prices in the supporters section have gone up 80% since 2019.
  • Season ticket prices in the supporters section are the highest in the league.
  • We are the only club in the country where the supporters section is not the cheapest tickets in the stadium.
  • People in section 200 can't even see the net when Cavalry attack on that end unless they are in the front row and leaning over the railing.

We communicated this to the club in the summer and met with them a couple weeks and the result was to yet again raise season ticket prices (albeit by a small number). I know of multiple people who are no longer willing to commit to seasons after yet another price increase; whether it be giving up their second or third season tickets or their only season ticket. Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things as attendances still go up every year despite ticket prices going up but frustrating that people I enjoy watching the game with are bailing every year.

I've met both of them and they are good people. Jason was around in the supporters scene long before I was. I'll pass that along.

I'm going to renew my season tickets. I am in Section 200, and all things considered, the season ticket price is quite good for the value it gives me for six months - I still say it's the best bang for buck sports experience in the city. Ideally, it would be nice if prices are going up that the quality of the league goes up too. It definitely is a higher quality than it was in 2019 so there's that.

Admittedly though, I haven't been to recent home games; if I bail on seasons next year it won't be because of the price or the quality on the pitch or the stadium experience which is the best in the CPL, it'll be because my ass is lazy and I'm deciding to golf more these days, haha.

I’m curious to know what kind of solution you see for the seeing the net issue? Are you advocating to move the supporters section?

For me the cost in reduced because I don't have to pay for a $120 parking pass. The quality of the game day experience is only better, and these days if you're in 200 you can actually sell tickets to games you can't make it to, rather than begging friends to go.

You would have to move the net 5-10 yards out and there is no realistic solution for that without demolishing either the warehouse or the family end. At that point, just build the 12000 seat stadium and actually take care to have good sightlines throughout the whole stadium.

That was one of the best things about the ####ty pitch at the end of 2019, we could actually see the net.

Pacific down to 10 3 minutes in as their keeper punches the ball away outside of the box. Guessing they'll park the bus for the next 87 minutes. Might be a bit of a dreadful game.
